I thought Sagan had a really good chance this year when the flat sprinting specialists were kicked out for not making the time limit, but then he had that heavy crash
He could have won the Tour 7 times in a row with better luck and a team devoted only to him. He had a Tour-winning level of performance every year since 2012

That depends on how likely a different course of action would've made winning the Tour. Two people who completely agree on the worth of 1st, 2nd and 3rd can disagree on tactics if they disagree on that

It's not. When we say that Froome's trajectory is ludicrous, that's not a subjective claim about how we feel about it, but an objective claim about the extreme and unparalleled jump from being a middle of the road rider to being a world beater.
