I can't help liking him. And I like the way he goes about his races, but .... that was hard to come to any conclusion much different from Pidcocks's "What the Fxxk.?"

As an endurance coach (different sport) I'm learning as much as I can at the moment about Ketones and MCTs as I can. They probably do make a difference, but you'd expect pretty much the whole peloton to be across that by now, so, unless Vingo and Pog are particularly adept at using them... there must be something else. Maybe their metabolical flexibility (everyone's is different) is off the scale.
Surely the purported benefits of keytones (sparing glycogen) are more important in stage racing than one day races? Keytones became a popular subject during the reign of Sky.

I do think something is going on at the big teams since 2021 but keytones do not explain what Pog has demonstrated in classics (or Vingo at the TdF). I think keytones are a convenient distraction - look over there !

Saving glycogen matters in any form of hard races. Actually long one-day races alongside with hard mountain stages are situations when it's needed most.

Its too bad that we no longer have a David Walsh like reporter calling he and Mauro out. Also, I find it so hypocritical that Lance and his MOVE podcast never mention anything "doping" pertaining to their race reviews.
They have made suggestive comments many times, but always turn away from being explicit because they probably have not much of a clue of what is going on in the peloton. I tend to believe Bruyneel does know and stays away from it. Lance comes across of as not really wanting to know. He'd rather watch golf than a race.

David Walsh the Sky apologist? I'd rather have the silence we have now, thanks.

I think Lance realizes no one wants to hear him comment on doping. They allude to it however, and then quickly move off the topic. He's just not going there.

if Matxin was that magician everybody says he is, he'd have Jumboed the Cipressa, instead of having the team fade
LOL. Matxin is definitely not all that, is he? But everyone is pretty dang fast, and MSR is just not selective in terms of gradients. If there were some sharp climbs at the end it would be frightening to see the Z2 dude destroy everyone.

Puncheur? Rouleur? Sprinter? Climber? Time trial specialist? GT focused? 1 week races? Classics? One peak or all year long? How about all of the above :p

He hasn't yet pulled out the defixiones, vodoo magic. Yet.

Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do everything, better than you ...

I can climb

I can time trial

I can sprint

I can tolerate cold rain

I supposedly can now tolerate heat

Long distance, or short distance, neither are a problem for me

Stage races or classics, all works for me

Peaking? Who needs to peak when you can ride everyone off your wheel all year long

I also need to make sure I'm extra nice, so that way I can beat the fisherman in the charisma game
