    Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge 2021

The cojones of Lopez must have been praised by Garcia-Acosta uncountable times during the final climb as instructions..

Yes i agree. As an outsider it's very difficult to break in their tight teamstructure. Don't forget they (Unzue and Echavarri) started out as friends who wanted to set up a (regional) cycling team. Unzue also has several familymembers working within the structure. Their vision has always been...

The documentary also shows the incapabilties on tactical level, especially with Garcia-Acosta (con dos cojonones as only teamorder) and in lesser extent Arrieta. The more structured teams like Ineos or Jumbo must be laughing their balls off with the teamorders of Movistar. Lastras and Vila are...

I wonder if there is a improvement in the relation Unzue- Acquadro. They are interested in signing Sosa and according to Gazzetta Aranburu is in talks with Movistar ( both clients of Acquadro )

    Teams & Riders Team Movistar-thread

You can't deny the fact that almost every 30+ rider he signed turned out to be a desastrous signing: Anton, Bruseghin, Cobo, Gadret, Karpets, Moreno, Plaza, Szmyd... It also doesn't match with the vision of the team, they have always developed young talent into better riders with the likes of...

Yes i agree with you, it's very odd indeed. He was originally scheduled for the Ardennes classics and as a sherpa for Mas in the Tour, let's wait and see what his next race will be. With Movistar they have plenty of experience with an unexpected shift in the teamschedules (Betancur).

Apparently they want to bring him slowly. The races he has done so were build-up races for him. He also admits he needs time to adapt himself to the tactics and race positions of Movistar during races. For instance, during the UAE Tour he was following the wheel of his ex-teammates from Bora...

Big surprise not to see Muhlberger in the team for the Ardennes classics, on forehand he was signed for these kind of races..

Teams & Riders He's coming home!!!! Alejandro Valverde comeback thread.

According to me we agree that Valverde can obtain a good result in Fleche and LBL. The only difference i guess is that you think he can obtain the highest spot on the podium in those races. Apart from the form there are also other factors that can play a big factor in those kind of races. In...

Teams & Riders He's coming home!!!! Alejandro Valverde comeback thread.

Not going to win maybe, but a podiumspot is very possible in both Fleche and LBL. Both Valverde and Movistar would sign for those results inmmediately.

They have another new course this year. It will be 16 times a circuit of 17km with the Geulhemmerberg, Bemelerberg and the Cauberg, but in the last lap the Cauberg isn't included which isn't favorable for Valverde anyhow.

We write the year 2086. COVID has decimated the human race, and the few survivors live in small tribes in what was once Western Europe. Alejandro Valverde explains why this is finally the year he can win the Tour de France.

Mas and Soler, both want to be an unique leader in the team, but today's stage has proved they both have still a lot to learn. Given Mas' perfomance in the Provence this is a ok performance, but still hoped for more.

How to waste energy yet again... Unzue must have gone crazy to think Valverde still can win these semi- groupsprints, unless they were riding for the old family member Luis Leon..

    Teams & Riders Team Movistar-thread

I believe they hit the rock bottom last season. This season there are at least some concrete bright spots for the future: the development of Jorgenson, Gonzalo Serrano who has the potential to be a kind of Aranburu 2.0 (good in the Omloop and the hilly stages of Tirreno), Soler who gets better...

Jorgenson seems to be in fine shape, lost only 20 seconds on Roglic today. He also placed himself very well in the first two stages.
