The 2024 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

with Ayuso, Lenny M, Mas, Arensman, Carapaz and Sosa along with Nys and Dainese, I hopeful that Romandie will turn out quite well. edit: I just saw that Del Toro won by a minute in Spain yesterday, even better!

some of my single-digit popular picks in THJ, Sosa and Rondel doing well so far this week .

The 2024 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

after the Classics being so far a total wipe-out, Dainese back and scoring points along with Bennett and Ayuso and Del Toro both scoring well is good news.

I was very surprised to see myself in 5th for the week, mainly because I had totally forgotten that I had picked Jan Hirt! It would have been even better if Ruta del Sol had been less of a mess (Ayuso) and if THJ had not crashed.

The 2024 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

I have the first 2 in Classic Var and both are rare picks. I am not sure who I would have preferred to win; THJ is rarer but these are Martinez's first points of the season. no idea how the scoring will work in Andalucia but if Ayuso gets 110 for 2nd then I am not complaining.

I had Gautherat as a unique pick last year and he did well. I obviously decided that that was sufficient and never thought of re-picking him this year . I am thinking this might have been an error. I did the same with van Wilder last year and that was also a bad idea. another unique...

I was going to mention that it was a good day but I see that has already been mentioned! :D happy to see that ultra -rare pick Dainese has made a good start to the season.

well, that ended up with 2, 3 and 4 on the final standings . can't complain. it would have been an even better week if I had picked van Wilder, like I did last year and someone I obviously should have picked this time as well.

5 out of the top 6 in the Benelux Tour today. now they need to hold onto their positions until the final stage.

The 2023 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

I am gradually sliding down the standings are my one week in the top 10, but at least Roglic is still standing and Ackermann won a stage. I was regretting not picking TGH, especially as I had him last year and repeat picked several other riders, but I guess I am now OK with it as I would have...

The 2023 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

having been joint 101st (2nd last) 8 weeks ago, I am now into the top 15. I guess that is what happens when Roglic and Van der Poel start their seasons! so far it looks like my only potential points this week will come from P-R, hopefully Van der Poel, Vermeesch, Asgreen, Stuyven, Lampaert and...

The 2023 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

wow, I certainly was not expecting to win this week, obviously with MVDP, I thought I might be quite high but I guessed others would be better. Moschetti is proving to be a valuable pick so far, an integral part of my 2 winning weeks. don't think I have won more than one week a season before, to...

unique pick Geniets picking up some nice points in France! I am starting to wonder why I did not pick Van Wilder, I had him last year and maybe 2021 as well (I can't remember...) but not sure why I suddenly decided not to take him this year and I think it was a mistake.

The 2023 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

after the disastrous start that my team has had (joint 2nd last :weary:), things have picked up nicely this week with wins for the semi-rare picks of Turner, Moschetti and Pedersen. that will easily double my current score.

what's the opposite of the green jersey? :grimacing: I did not think I had a great week but equally I did not think it was bad enough to have the biggest drop of all the teams either. I guess that puts me in prime position for a big climb...

oh yeah! I am liking the fact that I won this week due to one of my obscure riders scoring some points in a non-TdF race I did not even know he had scored points in! he is unfortunately the only one of my 3 0-pointers who has scored any points this season.
