    Giro d'Italia Giro d‘Italia 2024, Stage 5, Genova-Lucca, 178 km

No i don't think that's wild, personally. When he first lost time it was a hard fought punchy final on the first day of a GT, plenty of guys have a hard time finding their groove the first day when they prepared for 3 weeks. That's not random at all.

    Giro d'Italia Giro d‘Italia 2024, Stage 5, Genova-Lucca, 178 km

Unless he lost it by letting go in the final kms, it makes little sense. It's not enough to get a free pass to go in breaks. And riding alone 1m behind the peloton is hardly saving energy either. Which rate of random timelosses do you mean? He couldn't follow on the first day. So the only...

Teams & Riders Everybody needs a little bit of Roglstomp in their lives

I'm afraid something like this will happen as well. In the third week he will lose up to 10 minutes, which will diminish his 30 minute lead over runner-up Pogacar to merely 20 minutes. After finishing the TT in Nice, instantly immense festivities ensue and Evenepoel gets carried by the crowds...

Teams & Riders Jonas Vingegaard: The Wizard of Visma

So we can laugh about how he can't climb! Seriously though, if he's fully recovered (healed) they can send him, even if his form is not there yet. They don't really have alternatives anyway. I doubt they think Kuss can win the Tour. See how it goes, if GC is not an option, he can go for stages...

His clone comes out of cryo that wednesday at 14h35 CET.

He's training on Sierra Nevada with Van Wilder and Lampaert, according to their Strava. So far no Vervaeke (on Strava).

Cycling on USA TVs, desktops, laptops, and handheld devices

Lots of stuff isn't on Sporza anymore unfortunately. Belgian spring classics still are mostly, not all monuments (MSR is at VTM now, and until last year, so was Lombardia), TDF, some big 1 week races (depending on which Belgians participate). Giro isn't (also on VTM now). The good thing is, you...

    Giro d'Italia Giro d‘Italia 2024, Stage 4 Acqui Terme-Andora, 190 km

Nothing against Groves, but i'm happy Milan took it. The team worked for it, he was the strongest and deserved it. Merlier is the only one who might have been as strong, but he had to launch his sprint 10m back and make a detour with his face in the wind, at the moment Milan starts his sprint...

    Giro d'Italia Giro d‘Italia 2024, Stage 4 Acqui Terme-Andora, 190 km

Riders in the break are also far less likely to blow up now than decades past. They just ride their watts and know how long they can ride that for. Back in the day they just wanted to go as fast as possible, hoping they would make it. Now they even save some energy because they know the peloton...

    Giro d'Italia Giro d‘Italia 2024, Stage 4 Acqui Terme-Andora, 190 km

Jakobsen, while one of the fastest sprinters at full speed, unfortunately can't get over a molehill to save his life, even when in prime shape. His move to DSM has not been without issue either. So far 1 win, but to be honest, his last year at SQS wasn't all that hot either.

He would probably be one of the worst DS's in the peloton. Attack! Faster! Why are you riding so slow?! If Pogacar attacks with the energy and drive of that theme, then he would finish dead last. This is what you're looking for, and i pity the fool who thinks otherwise: View...

Why do you think he moved to Visma? Keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

Teams & Riders Cian Uijtdebroeks - From the wetlands to the top of cycling

Del Toro is clearly much zappier than Uijtdebroeks, who is a diesel. Del Toro will have an easier time winning stages and one week stage races. But Del Toro has not raced a GT yet. If he does that with succes as well, than i'd go with Del Toro. But Uijtdebroeks has proven to be very consistent...
