UK a small Island? Whats next? Playing football as "a ticket out" or running the miles to school every morning?

Come this summer and all we will see (and hear) is JTLs face covering every cycling Magazine introduced as the best thing since bread and butter. The reasonable cycling world will simply not endure the massive propaganda the tabloids will unleash. Has our lad climbed over a bridge or the sloping streets of London? a promising climber right there (OMG the next Millar). Has he smiled and waved to the camera? He is simply the most charismatic since Cipollini.

Remember where you heard it first.

Here is me thinking this thread is about Bradley Wiggins, not some moanfest for embittered people who hate the UK

No, but seriously, this will most most likely happen. I am a fan of hype to a healthy degree but feel sorry for the poor fellow Tiernan-Locke who has to carry the hopes and faiths of an entire island on his slim shoulders. May the force be strong with Wiggins/Froome is all i can say.

And remember what this hype has done to your football-team. Or what it did with Jenson Button before he met Flavio Briatore...

"Hate the UK"? Had i been brit then my remark would stand out as the most patriotic out there since i offer some patience around JTL. Let the guy grow out as a biker before you give him responsibility and hail him as a GT-rider. Hype is not always a good thing.

And im saying this in a very polite and (slightly) trolling manner against you uptight people.
