Cyclingnews article mentions Lachlan Morton as likely new rider for Garmin as well. Is there any news about that?

Dont know about that, but certainly could be true, the guy has a lot of talent even though this season wasnt his best one. But he is still young.

He's way overrated imho. He rode some good races in the US as a junior, riding uphill with Leipheimer(don't know which races though) and afterwards he received a lot of hype.
However he doesn't seem to have much growing potential left in him, he hasn't progressed at all this year.

Gotta love people writing off riders as neo-pros.

He isn't even a neo pro yet, and I think he's got to show some progression next year if he wants to be pro in 2014. It would be surprising if he's got an offer from Garmin, also because there are some more promising riders in their development squad.

He came in 6h place in Langkawi (1.HC) when he was 19 years and not even a month old (I know its not the strongest of fields in HC races but there were a few decent guys.
He also rode really decent races this year although and got in some nice results in . He also was a great domestic in the USA Pro cycling challenge + was riding very offensive there (as the hole garmin team was).
Way to early to write him off for the future imo.

EDIT: Even though I agree with you that he stagnated this year. But normally climbers mature a little later so I think he still can make some decent progression.

CWO has signed two new riders. They're providing following clues:

- One is a double World Champ
- Both riders have been World Champs in Road, Track or MTB
- The two riders have no doping convictions
- Both are to ride as active riders
- Not Igor Astarloa
- Both riders are under the age of 28
- Both riders are men

Don't get high hopes, for all I know Dmytro Grabovskyy fits the description as well.

Don't see why that would be specified, he's already ruled out since he's definitely not under 28 and has a doping conviction.

I assume it's two track world champions who in reality has nothing to do on a road bike.

Both riders are men? Damn, there goes my hope for a women's CWO team with Svetlana Bubnenkova, Rasa Leleivyte and Vania Rossi.
