I'd love to see him have another go. A complete enigma but man the guy was a tank at U23

That's just that really. The U23 competition in 2006 / 2007 wasn't great. At least the big international races ( Worlds, BabyGiro etc. )

World Championships U23 R.R.. Yes he won, but none of that Top 10 are really stars now showing the competition wasn't great. Biggest name is Meersman.

His 2nd at Baby Giro. Well he was 2nd to Cataldo, who didn't really fulfil his potential as great GC rider. And rest of that Top 10 is fairly anonymous.

Although I think it's a good shout he'll come back and well be glad to see him back.

I assume the under 28 thing is to rule out Alex Rasmussen?

Possibly Michael Færk Christensen or Casper Jørgensen could be one of them? They were part of the Danish team that won the Worlds in the Individual Pursuit back in 2009.

That would be the Team Pursuit

I find your CQ checking pretty funny Writing those years off as poor competition with a quick glance at the top 10. His generation were pretty good - Boom, Gesink, Reus, Kreuziger, (who were all touted to be big stars when racing U23) plus van Avermaet, Ciolek, Velits, even your beloved Cavendish Yeah, poor competition.

The way he won that race in serious style, as a 19 year old suggested he was gonna be big. He dominated Regioni in 05 or 06 too back when that race was a big one for U23s.

FWIW I very much doubt Grabovskyy will be returning.

I wasn't having 'high hopes'. I was just curious.

Dunno. The clues are from the Danish site Feltet.dk.

Yeah... that, and the fact that he's currently in the doghouse...
---

Some popular guesses seem to be Mads Würtz Schmidt, Nino Shurter, and Michael Freiberg.

Well... I kinda figured that Danes might've already figured and foreigners really can't compete!
