Things must be really bad for Romney. I just got off the phone to my parents, who are big Romney supporters, and they are no longer watching TV election coverage. They switched to a show about finding bigfoot.

Indeed, and so far it is still going up, if Obama can take Florida then Romney can't win.

I'm waiting for the Florida or Ohio result to start celebrating.

Interesting. I heard the Republicans are going to nominate Bigfoot next time.

EDIT: As soon as they find him. Hope your parents come through.

According to the Huffington Post count, Obama is at 173 electoral votes. Adding in those states he's sure to win - California (55 votes), Oregon (7), Washington (12), Hawaii (4) - that puts him at 251, meaning he just needs to find 19 somewhere and it's all over.

Damn, back down to a 16k lead in Fla.

I've been baiting wingnuts on FB for calling Obama the anti-Christ, among many other insane things, and for claiming massive, widespread electoral fraud by Dems - I have now been called both a Marxist and a Muslim.

They look at counties, history and exit polls only if its really close do they actually wait for the popular vote to call a state.

Yeah, but the counties that have not counted all the votes are predominantly Democratic (Miami-Dade etc), so Omama's lead is more likely to extend than go the other way. I think O's looking pretty good....

It looks like Obama will end up with 319 electoral votes
