Since I'm an a role....

Now this fine little expose on the "epitome of what an American woman, mother, wife looks like," all dressed up in her Macy's dark powder blue tailleur femme, with plasticized, make-up face and plump body from an over-hormone diet, hair all made up for the day: is precisely the image that the rest of the world sees as exemplary of a society, in this case feminine, that's fake and has poor taste.

In this case one that dresses poorly, eats terribly, looks more synthetic than real and has over-sugary, molasses-sweet values disassociated from the problems and predicaments of the real world, which hence nobody else can relate to and frankly wouldn't want to either.

The irony, as we can infer from the quote, is that many of Ann Romney's supporters don't see it this way and rather believe hers to be a perfect image of those wholesome, God fearing family values, which the “American woman” is supposed to represent. What the rest of the world thus sees as a brutta figura they can’t relate to because have nothing in common with, these wildly ecstatic Ann Romney cheerleaders triumphantly regard as the most reassuring and endearing icon.

This only goes to demonstrate how far removed from global society these American's are, how circumscribed is their vision and how restricted is their horizon to the house next door.

Furthermore Ann Romney is a case for which it can truly be said one's dress isn't merely a cloak that conceals the content underneath, but is bound inextricably to it. In this sense one's look is not so neutral, but implies one’s own culture, thinking and perception of the world.

Ugliness in look implies ugliness in thought.

The Republican faithful at strata both low and high, from Rush’s dittoheads to the think-tank-affiliated intellectuals, have long since stopped acknowledging any empirical evidence that disputes their insular worldview, no matter how grounded that evidence might be in (God forbid) science or any other verifiable reality, like, say, Census reports or elementary mathematics."

....and if you that think this is a strictly Ameri-centric fabulation be aware that in Canada the Conservative government ( which ideologically is joined at the hip to the US wingnut wrong wing ) decided that the best way to circumvent the fact checkers is go to the source of the problem, that is, to simply get rid of the facts...so they have, over the last few years, fired thousands of government employees who produced important facts and provided invaluable analysis of those facts...in fact they even got rid of the census as functional collector of data...which for those of you not aware, the seemingly mundane census , and the statistical analysis it allows, is as important to the development of the modern world as Newtonian physics ...kinda like the fact that our longer life-spans owe as much to mundane plumbing as to the more glamorous medical science...

...so hence forth we will drive our country forward with our eyes literally closed...and policy will probably be determined by triangulation, a concept even a monkey can manipulate ( which is just the way the wrong wing likes it...because the discussion is then reduced to "common sense" arguments made by ignorant fools...see the relationship between Fox News and the wrong wing to see how this process works )...thankfully the new wrong wing TV network that was to lead Canadians to a new more better wrong wing understanding of reality has failed miserably...except of course in Alberta which is burdened by a populace whose combined IQ barely exceeds that of bread mould ( they are an early, shinier, slightly more sophisticated version of modern day Palinesque Alaska )...

That's all well and good, but of course you have neglected fact: namely, that rural American votes republican.

You forgot to add breast cancer survivor and multiple sclerosis sufferer.

She's so horrible I don't even think she's real.

Accept victory with some dignity, if thats at all possible. Continuing to mercilessly attack your opponent once the battle is over is extremely poor form.

Scott finally something that has raised your ire I see!

Perhaps we should also take pity for dead Seamus and morphine tranquilized Super Hit. http://veracitystew.com/2012/06/24/a...rn-of-cruelty/ What have past and present diseases got anything to do with personal virtue? She represents what she represents and her clincal history doesn't change that.

Why do you feel mercilessly attacked right now Scott? How then should those who voted for Obama respond to accusations of the election being robbed? Is this being a sore loser, a display of poor form, or merely based in reality and so righteous indignity?

Finally how should I respond to someone that makes absurd claims about America womanhood also in my name and which is an insult to many? That you have taken it personally, clearly indicates you've got issues.

Actually on density of population quotas, urban America has perhaps been subsidizing rural America, though I'm not sure.

In any case we can be certain that Arkansas or Nebraska is not subsidizing New York.
