New Australian Nationals course has been announced. It is far less selective.

EDIT: Maybe not far less.

Road Race course.

The RR is actually harder as at least now it's close to 200km.

Perhaps the length will make it harder but don't underestimate the lack of climbing taken away. Climbing km are nearly always more influential than length of overall race.

If I'm right they are doing 14 climbs instead of 16, and the final 112km are identical.

All the change really does is make it easier for rouleurs to get away early, the final part will be just as (if not more) selective.

Has Mark Renshaw started complaining already? That's an objective measurement of how tough it is.

That's a bit strange, probably wants to win as soon as possible.

Other good news for you ACF: Boonen might do Tour Down Under or Tour de San Luis next year.

Phil will take 3 or 4 stages if he has any form (as long as the Prince of Wilunga doesn't show up).
