He can't back out and let go, he's in to deep. Hein Mk 2. If they lose the reins the truth might come out... and then what? If he doesn't get nominated he will still wriggle back in somehow just like Hein did. They both go together or they don't go at all.

We are moving towards business as usual. The USADA Armstrong splash will likely result in very little change. Same leadership in place and almost no reforms. However the PR expense at UCI will increase.

So if Cycling Ireland do not nominate him, presumably this will be a big problem for Pat? Who do we email at CI to request that they do not put him forward? Would an online petition help? Plenty of cyclists out there, especially right now, who would love to see the back of McQuaid.

Thanks, indeed, vice president according to his profile. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/member.php?u=29449

Signed up and voted for what it's worth. Maybe if we flood this poll with votes someone will take notice?

Well there seems to be a route in place according to the CI medical officer:

What the electorate is would need to be established and I presume lobbying could take place on that basis.

Although Ireland is at a crossroads at the minute when it comes to accountability of Public representatives ..

Pat knows

- that there is a lot of sh!t still to come down which will reflect poorly on him
- that CI is rumbling and may not nominate him
- that he may need to get another fed's nomination which will take time

As I asked before in a thread, with all the criticism it may be worthwhile to list Pat's positive contributions since 2005. When I asked this there was only mention of the biological passport... which was actually spearheaded by Anne Gripper, and we know where she stands on Pat...

So again, what has Pat contributed in any positive way since 2005?
