since when Richie became such a puppy dog, I remember when he was at SAXO, personal ambition is all he was talking about. It seems SKY can really change you. Oh, and yes he does learn a lot from guys like Bradley and Mick Rogers.

"It's as yet unclear whether Wiggins will defend his Tour title or target the Giro d'Italia in 2013 but Porte's desire is to ride as part of Wiggin's team, whatever the final programme."

All people have on sky is coincidences and guilt by association - that's it. Nothing concrete.

Rarely does an Aussie side with Poms when it comes to sport but sine I've read the same BS regarding Cadel, well I empathise.

Tall Poppy Syndrome or few willing to separate truth from lies to support an argument is alive and well

The truth will come out one way or another - BRING IT I say

I was wondering myself how come Porte has no more ambition anymore. I thought he left Saxo because he wasn't going to get his chance due to Contador. And I was thinking highly of him for leaving Saxo.

Maybe Sky has a brainwashing drug.

it's called money. does it really take a day/rider to sign these things, and do they really make them do this stuff on sundays?

or are they looking at blood profiles really carefully first?

I think it's nice for us young guys coming through that times have changed and cycling isn't the cutthroat business it used to be. I'm happy I am starting my career now instead of ten years ago.

Default Porte / Froome and Julich

I was reading a Pro Cycling magazine from November 2011 - whilst lying on the beach and there was an article in it - The Bobby Julich Effect.

It states that Froome lives in Monaco, closeby to Julich in Nice.

Quote:
We meet quite often to talk about training and plans going forward...I would say Bobby's played a really big part in getting me ready for the Vuelta and in moving me forward this season
Quote:
Another rider who credits the American with the power of helping him make a breakthrough into the big time is Richie Porte, who enjoyed a sensational 2010 at Saxobank under Julich's guidance
Quote:
When Julich was hired at the start of the year to develop riders training plans and impart his wealth of experience he said the role is unique among the ProTeams.
Interesting !!
