He pretends to be brave. That's all right. When he gets popped for the second time, he will go comment the Vuelta alongside Heras. Contador will always be a national hero for Spain. Though world cycling community would curse him then IMO.

I wonder why no one asked him to lay out blood values after the Vuelta as a proof of cleanliness... Why didn't he do this himself?! Confidentiality doesn't allow to or what? )

In my view, superelite riders need some special punishments. Something like 2 year salaries + 4 year ban if one is caught. Then something should work better.

Surely the post is being written not without irony so fans may consider this trolling if they like.

in germany dirty is no more than a symbol of the spanish golden doping generation.
germany represents almost half of europe. the envious and bitter half i guess.
No Germany would like to think it represents half of Europe...slightly different emphasis. He's put out the same sound bite as half of the rest of them, Contador still feels he's innocent as do many of his fans, me included, his positive had the hands of the UCI and that other bloke from Texas all over it and from that you get his reaction

Why did the UCI try and cover it up then?

I can understand an opinion 'he is not guilty because the rest are the same', but do you really admit a clean guy can beat dopers?

Well.... you seem to have put Andy on that pedestal....oh wait he's yet to beat people on the road...

TBH yes I think clean riders can beat doped. Everyone holds Evans up as this kind of talisman so why not.

As La Floricita pointed out Contador was banned for the presence of a substance that he could not establish beyond any doubt how it got into his system. Throw in any semantics you like and counter arguements on the case but thats how it was presented and appealed through RFEC and CAS!

i honestly think contador should just shut up low his head and let the storm pass by hoping it doesn't blow his house away in the process.

no1 will believe this kind of speech coming from him and the septics will just think he is an hypocrite. if he let's his ridding do the talk for him he will surely get more appreciation from the fans then what he could ever get with the press.

besides next year if he beats the sky train(which i think he will) people will just say he is still doping, and if he doesn't then people will say he is no longer doping and doping was the only reason why he won as we all know the highest position an english speaking rider finishes in a GT is the highest position possible to achieve while clean.

Edgar gives about 15% inflow of energy cells, transfusions — up to 20%. No matter how one is strong, talented and so on he can not close such a huge gap while riding clean.

You are too venomous. You love to ridicule one's sympathies and fanatically defend your own... Go ahead.

So what is the answer with Evans, are you saying he must be doped as well?? And Andy...and everyone else??? Under the right circumstances doped riders can be beaten however it depends on whether you think any of the pro-peleton are clean or not.

I'd call it a quid pro quo.....you dig at our Bertie fandom we'll throw Andy right back at you...it's how the game is played

I don't defend my sympathies cos I understand to persuade people is impossible. Hm, my views don't depend on any fandoms.

Until 2008 everyone in a GT top-10 vastly doped. As for subsequent years, I'd like to believe in changes for the better.
