Dont think so,Alberto is slightly better than Andy in mountains,IMO it is enough to drop him but not more than 30s on 5km ascent(which is under 9%)

If anything Nibali has exceeded the hype. He was always a bit underpowered in the mountains with a mediocre tt compared to other riders that were being touted more than him. His palmares speak for themselves. I'm biased though so maybe I'm not seeing things as clearly and objectively as I should. He's a rider who's done more with his ability than most in the sport.

You've got to be kidding! Some riders wait and wait for opportunities and some riders like Nibali take chances and make their own opportunities. He races the entire season and competes in those events. He's not coasting around in the peloton getting in training miles like so many of his contemporaries. He's not a blow you away talent but he has a huge heart with good tactical sense and makes the most of his abilities.

Edit: Got a bit distracted and didn't realize this thread was from 2012 until after I made my 2 posts.

Six people voted for Andy. My God I wish I had such optimism.
