he is just matching his team jersey. notice how some glasses also have saxo's dark blue. besides if contador didn't bother with a special painted bike for the vuelta last year until he was in red, i highly doubt he bothered with special painted glasses.

his 2011 bike was perfect

http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/aso-...n-for-contador

aso says they won't change their wild cards to take into account contador's situation . . . .

ya ASO we totally believe you will give up on millions on revenue just like that. . . the contador vs schleck rivalry would get the tour more attention by the time they reached the tour then froome would get them by the end of it.

Cancellara says

For me too.

Lol, ASO is so pathetic.

No Philippe Gilbert, no Fabian Cancellara, no Tom Boonen, no Sylvain Chavanel, no Vincenzo Nibali, no Bradley Wiggins, possibly no Alberto Contador, etc

What a weak field. I thought the WT was designed the get the best riders to start your race? Perhaps the Tour ain't all that good anymore.

They didn't say that they wouldn't invite Saxo... just that Contador's situation is irrelevant to procedure (as it should be). Saxo should be invited regardless assuming there is one wildcard left for a non-French team.

Contador's "threat" was lame, though.

There are other WT races too. It's only nice that some top riders decide to do other races, it's good for the other races and for cycling.

The Tour will always be the biggest race in terms of viewers, but other races are great as well, simple as that.

Not many WT races during the same time as the Tour.

We've seen with Evans lance and wiggins that a anglophone rider winning the tour is worth a lot.more than a nonglophone winning it so.it does actually make sense that they would prefer froome.
