Default Nommay World Cup

The World Cup is back and this could be the best one of the young 2009 season.

Who will take it? I predict Sven Nys will get his first WC win of the year. I would also throw out there that Francis Mourey will podium.

Does anyone have a link to watch this race live in Canada?

Does anyone know what kind of weather they are predicting?

The ladies race should be entertaining as well!! Any predictions? I think Katie Compton is the one to beat.

The circuit is not very technical, so I'm not sure it suits Nys so well. So I'll have to go with Albert.

Agreed, Albert is a safe bet for any race this season.
Will be good to see how Nys will cope with not winning everything for once.

Wow, Stybar put up quite a fight. Great last couple of rounds with Nys slowly closing the gap.
Did not expect Albert outsprinting Stybar. Now he doesn't have to fear any scenario anymore.

I think Stybar chose for flat cyclocross tubulars (I'm not a specialist as far as material is concerned so if someone could help me) while Albert chose for road-like tyres with much more pressure on, which gave him a great advantage in the sprint (while Styby is normally faster) but a huge disadvantage in the technical part.

Again I'm no specialist. So what I say is open to criticism.

By the way it's the first time I've seen Nys fight till the end when in a bad position, which is nice from him.
