There are always the chance of side effects to any medicine, like crazy kid shooting you in the head and then going and shooting up an elementary school.

Every time I see those commercials with the older couple sitting in the bathtub in the field, I feel the uncontrollable urge to go buy some of that erection medicine. Then, invariably the commercial goes into all the side effects and it's like throwing cold water on my mental masterubation.
i know you're supposed to call your physician for erections lasting more than 4 hours but i usually just call an escort service.

Then why have speed limits? Is it the car's fault when more accidents would occur due to high speed?

I know you like to drink. Would you feel comfortable in a bar if everybody was packing a gun? What about a restaurant? What about anywhere, like the mall? Do you want to live in a society where any idiot at any moment in time could end your life?

Rules and laws are made to protect us from idiots. Unfortunately, that restricts some of the things we like to do. It's a trade off. I own a car that has been clocked at 186 mph in stock form, and I would love to not have speed limits. BUT, not with the tradeoff that all people could drive as fast as they wanted to.

Same thing with guns; I could carry a weapon whereever I go because I am not a nutjob. I gladly trade that "right" to restrict access of guns to idiots, or to make them less accessable and have more of a controlled situation to obtain them.

The alternative is that life is a bigger game of chance. Finding a nice median for reasonable gun restrictions, laws, etc. is the price we pay for being more safe than having unrestricted access to guns.

I agree with Chris. And that's rare, so he must be right.

Of course I am right.

I want to thank you as well for providing me comedy relief today. Ever since I read your reply to Scotty about having guns to shoot intruders, I have imagined you sitting in your underwear and playing rock/paper/scissors with an armed intruder. Pretty funny picture.

Gun deaths since Newtown, not including suicides.

I am not comfortable with that either.
Based on the ongoing discussion however, I would have to say that "disturbed" is an interesting self analysis.
