This is good practice for when the truth is revealed.

"They weren't British! They were aussie...Italian too."

An Aussie team who's stated goal (for some reason) was to see a Brit win the Tour.

What difference does it make who owns them or what bikes they ride to their nationality?

A lot of the jingoism was manufactured by them themselves. They're British-registered, British-led, with a stated aim of a British Tour winner and marketed themselves as Britain's first Pro team.

This isn't Farnese Vini being a British team, a flag of convenience born out of evading rider salary laws or tax levies based on being an Italian team (see also Colnago and Utensilnord being based out of Ireland, like LPR before them). This is a team that has consciously identified itself as British and gone out of its way to cultivate that conflation of itself with Britain. This is further exacerbated by the blurred lines of where British Cycling ends and Team Sky begins.

Froome19. Merry Christmas.

I agree.

But it does matter what Doctor they hire.

Yes, we know it took years and years to take down Lance,
but you know 100% that BMW is working with Ferrari, so are
you protecting someone (ie are you part of the Omerta?) or
are you spreading untruths?

It isn't jingoism. Wrong word and holding negative connotations that aren't there. Sky is identifying itself as a British team, what else could it identify itself as if it wants to identify with a particular country? There are plenty of teams that wrap themselves in flags.

Possibly the reason why is for the added cachet of being a successful British team on the pro circuit. There has never really been a succesful British team. But yes, you are correct that the boundaries between Team GB and Sky are sometimes a bit blurry

TeamSky is basically a joint venture between the National Federation's elite performance wing and a sponsor/owner that's a national broadcaster - it would be bonkers for the team NOT to be the defacto British pro national road team.

Nothing is assured?

That's a nice "get out of jail" card.

I'm sorry but Sky hired a Doctor who injected young men with EPO.

Perhaps Wiggins and Brailsford could clarify the matter?

Then you might be assured.

Even though its Christmas its still a sad week for cycling

So many questions so little answers from Sky.

All I ask for is the truth.
