That's what I'm hoping.

(Ha, ha, Hitch, who can forget "Purito Froome", too, at least if he's got a team then. Also hilarious to see Sagan drop Nibali on one the Tirreno walls, when he was riding for him. A word or two may have been spoken there then between the Albanian/Eastern European and Sicilian mafias afterwards. "Hey, who's gotta the betta stuffa...?" ).

Some of the walls in Tirreno are probably too short for Bertie and too steep for Wiggo. May be too early in the year for Bertie, but he'll have a lot to prove vs. Wiggo, who should be at his 95% (if like last year).

Thoughts?
My immediate thought is that Bertie has diiddly, nada, nothing, nowt to prove Vs Wiggins as it has never been and probably never will be a genuine discussion between the two. But I get your post and it may be interesting to see who wants to lay something down in TA.

Nothing verbally, just the sporting pride of two Tour champions, pride of legs, who want preeminence on the road, candidates for the same crown again.

Brad will be the interloper, the pretender to his throne, in his eyes, I'm sure, just as he is to many on this forum. These types of guys never rest on their laurels: it's never enough. It's how they got there, among other things. Constantly surprised how absurdly competitive champions in any sport are in anything. It's not our mindset.

Hope to see the race, how important it is to them, as you say.

I agree, but the media will love it and look to whip up a storm.

If we're f***ing lying, we can kiss it all goodbye. And if we were lying we'd do some stupid stuff to try to cover it up, wouldn't we? Does anybody think for a second that a secret that big wouldn't come out? Bill Stapleton

I don't want him to do the Giro, because I want to se a fully fit Contador at the Tour... but I soooo want him to beat Wiggins in back to back GTs...
