It's not impossible to do 2 grand tours in combination. Giro-Tour is possible, but just if you're racing for spot 3-5 in both like Mentsjov did in 2008.

Tour-Vuelta it is even possible to podium both or win in France and podium in Spain like Sastre did it. Also Evens showed that you can finish high in both.

But you can't win Giro-Tour anymore an I doubt anyone other than Contador could do Tour-Vuelta double. Also not Rodriguez. Even if I said the Vuelta field might be pretty weak this year, I think there will be a much fresher young gun or dark horse that will be able to distance Rodriguez in Spain.

Purito will ride San Luis with KAT. Now we have a real race.

No, it was denied. But they do need a Pro Conti License to ride San Luis

Joaquim Rodríguez no le quedará otro camino que solicitar formalmente a la UCI una licencia Profesional Continental si quiere comenzar la temporada.

Decent article on whether Purito will stay at Katusha or go.

http://inrng.com/2013/01/rodriguez-new-team/

Apparently Purito comes with a package including Moreno, Losada and 2 other doms.

Astana, who most people thought as his likely destination has the full quota of rides and can't sign Purito unless they retire some of their riders.

If Katusha completely folds, IAM cycling might be a destination, even though it's a Pro Conti team. They have room for 5 riders and have enough money.

Yes, but Five riders will have to have bad backs.

Will they do it again after 2011?

With so much spotlight on them regarding Mantova as as well, it will be hard for them to pull something off.

Lol, they are trying to show that they are serious about anti doping.

Apparently, it's one of the requirements of the UCI.

Apparently they want to ride Tour de France and don't expect a positive outcome at CAS
