As far as I understand, Narni and Rocca Di Cambio would be the "classic" stages, and the Chieti one the mountain. That said, one needs some imagination to call the Rocca di Cambio stage that way.

Out of interest, it seems the stage to Narni won't end uphill.

There is a mountain stage in this yearís race and itís a real mountain stage. The time of year and the risk of snow means we canít take the race up to 2000m but we can string together a series of tough, steep climbs that are also up to 12km long.
so multi-mountain stage? that would be interesting.

Risk of snow? Come on! If Andy Hamptsen could do it in 1988 on a steel bike in the Giro d'Italia then the pro's can do it today!

Reading the Tirreno article in Italian it's not that clear. The original article mentions that one of the two "uphilly" stages features some serious climbs before the end. It would perfectly fit with the Lanciano/Chieti stage. So that rules out Rocca Di Cambio, unless they overload it with some unknown climb (or count it as a bunch sprint ) I'm confused right now.

So it should be something like this:

stage1a: Lienz - Lienz (road stage)
stage1b: Lienz TTT 15 kms
stage2: Sillian - Vetriolo Terme MTF 220 kms
stage3: Pergine Valsugana - Sega Di Ala MTF with another minor climb before (involving the descent of La Polsa, to be MTTed in the Giro)
stage4: ??? - ???

Is that the giro del trentino or the tour of Poland?
