I mentioned him! But I agree he could surprise.

I saw it immediately after i post my reaction I think he can obtain a couple of top 5 finishes.

Matthews en EBH are the favorites for sure, if's Eddy is recovered from his injury of course.

Odd how not very long ago Farrar would have been a nailed on favourite to completely dominate a sprinter's field this weak.

Don't know, he rode pretty good at Eneco Tour, so i'm quite surprised that he isn't in the Vuelta squad.

What is the real chance for Fenn/Meersman? Meersman i could probably vouch for in the mid-mountain stages, but can he win in bunch sprints?

He's won a number of reduced bunch sprints or sprints without the top sprinters. At Romandie he took 2 stages beating guys like Gavazzi, Nizzolo, Ferrari, Goss, Van Rensburg. He could do well enough to take a stage in this sprinters field.

First thing I thought as well, saw his name on a preliminary startlist somehwere and thought maybe he could be the one to pull a Degenkolb this year. Then I remembered who he was.

I mean, Farrar this season is already a bit better then he was last year. He definitely could pick a stage win in this field, that's why i'm surprised he is not selected by Garmin
