it pretty much died out as a word in britain as well. Ian dury's Spasticus Autisticus went a long way to raising awareness, and ive not heard it used in about 20 years.

Not sure this will help but here goes.

We the admin team have no control over the filter. We have tried on a number of occasions to get amendments made - things added and things taken off. We even created a new list and asked to have it adopted. As far as I know this has never resulted in any significant change to the functionality of the filter.

We or at least I have given up asking about it.

It doesn't seem to be a priority to the powers at be. In their defense the CN team does not have control over this either. It is apparently not a simple matter to just change the list... And from my understanding the issues are not just technical ones ... And to be honest there comes a point where I lose interest and focus on other things.

As I say not sure this will answer a number of legitimate concerns raised above. BUT I would like people to know that we have tried. We have tried really quite hard.

Looks like the place is run as well as a broken stem... no wonder the mods are bailing right and left.

By your reply I'm surprised the site is still up and running.
