So we're discussing (not so much in this thread, but this was also posted in General News earlier) riders' reputation, basically everyone in that thread assumes they are guilty just because of their reputation being less than perfect, and yet the only source of this rumor is something that is known and 100% guaranteed criminal activity?

I see a lawsuit coming, and I will support that 100% in this case.
A lawsuit against who? Unless he can show that the staff of magazine hacked his account, all the magazine did was run a story based on information from a source.

The only odd thing is that 100K would seem to be cheap for a win as big as LBL and such a win would be a huge plus for Kolobnev's palmares. He has been close too many times to sell LBL without a reason better than a 100K. He might have had that reason. He might have thought that Vino was stronger and he might as well take the guaranteed 100 thou.

But yet again, how trustworthy of a source is that?
Yeah, it's the evil media's fault. They just make stuff up out of thin air so they can be sued for libel.

Unless there are e-mails that contain something more explicit than a financial transaction, Vino will deny it, Kolobnev will deny it, and nothing will ever come of it.

This sort of thing should not surprise anyone.

This certainly won't do Vino's campaign to run for Parliament any good!

Are you kidding? Being able to take and make bribes is a major plus. A candidate needs to show the people that he knows how to operate.

These guys show up but they come packin' shotguns. And they won't be bought off with a Big Kahuna burger.

Kolobnev was earning 500,000 euros per year at Katusha, he should have asked for more from Vino.
