Default Tro Bro Leon 2012 - 206.4km (April 15)

Okay I already started a thread 'bout this great race last year but I love it and wish you could favour that one to Amstel next Sunday. For it's again streamed live (3.00pm CET): http://video-direct.france3.fr/player.php?id=1349

I don't need to type a long intro, I'll just refer to my earlier thread:

http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthr...highlight=Leon

The pic for the ribin list and the map profile are the 2012 one (I did not replace it, they did).

I'll just add, this quintessential picture (thanks to L'arriviste):

2011 results:

1 Vincent Jerome (Fra) Team Europcar 4:58:07
2 Will Routley (Can) Team Spidertech Powered By C10 0:00:01
3 Arnold Jeannesson (Fra) FDJ 0:00:20

9 Alexandre Blain (Fra) Endura Racing
10 Kristof Goddaert (Bel) AG2R La Mondiale
11 Anthony Colin (Fra) Roubaix Lille Metropole
12 Cyril Gautier (Fra) Team Europcar
13 Perrig Quemeneur (Fra) Team Europcar
14 Julien Fouchard (Fra) Cofidis, Le Credit En Ligne
15 Romain Matheou (Fra) Saur - Sojasun
16 Sébastien Minard (Fra) AG2R La Mondiale
17 Laurent Pichon (Fra) Bretagne - Schuller
18 Michal Golas (Pol) Vacansoleil-DCM Pro Cycling Team
19 Bartosz Huzarski (Pol) Team Netapp
20 Sébastien Hinault (Fra) AG2R La Mondiale
21 Nicolas Bazin (Fra) Big Mat - Auber 93
22 Jerome Cousin (Fra) Team Europcar
23 Arnaud Gerard (Fra) FDJ
24 Eric Berthou (Fra) Bretagne - Schuller
25 Francis Mourey (Fra) FDJ

And the provisional startlist:

Apparently, Chainel's racing Amstel this year.

So I'll root for the only crossers remaining: Arnold Jeannesson and Nicolas Bazin.

Love this race: really unique.
I certainly hope to be watching this live and recording that other race.

Just to say live coverage time in OP is incorrect. From 16-15CET.

http://video-direct.france3.fr/player.php?id=1349

Which is good, since it's 16-15 to 17-45 slot means most of the coverage will now not clash with the AGR.
Folks should watch this one, as it's a real novelty.

It's just another 1.1 race, these are rarely stickied.

The weather is dry, this morning I was talking to one of my sisters who lives near there, she says it's been dry and quite warm (20°C) for the last 3 days.

I also see from this webcam pix very near the race course that it's sunny

My tip, Alexandre Blain ftw. He rode well last year and in good form with a decent win in the UK over similar terrain a fortnight ago. Well deputised by Ian Bibby and a certain JTL

Blain's form is so excellent he abandoned today's Tour du Finistère.

So, you haven't heard of preparation races? Finistere is far more of a grimpeurs race with climbs up to 250m than TBL which has a much flatter parcours. Let's see how he goes tomorrow shall we?
