it's false. He could complain about lack of support only in the 2011 Tour. Though, I can not say how hypothetically stronger team could help him considering how the stages unfolded.
+1
you ungrateful AC fans

There are even fewer opportunities open to those riders if he has the stronger team.
It is odd that Conti has always had relatively mediocre teams. Not bad ones, mind you, but never the strongest. I wonder if he just takes up way too much pesetas in the budget

Astana 09?

(team was awesome even if LA and AC did not like each other)

Saxo also have Kreuziger who is good but Sky will have Kiriyenka and Knees and maybe someone like Dowsett or Eisel. Saxo meanwhile have to pull Noval Majka Hernandez Roche CAS.

Seems clear to me Sky will destroy saxo in the ttt.
Sky will beat Saxo, no doubt about that. Due to the length of the course, I wouldn't give them more than 20ish.
But that first itt looks to me like more than a half minute.

All in all somewhere between 40 and 80 seconds should be Froomey's advantage after the first itt, if there's no other losses.
Ax-3 Domaines shouldn't be left out of the equation.

It was Armstrong's team, not Contador's At least that's the impression they gave during that Tour.

But in 2008 Leipheimer was a good domestique, but my cycling knowledge is already lacking for those years

Seriously. Alberto is a great tter. I believe Froome is a bit better but no way Alberto will lose more than a second per km especially in a 30 km tt which is the perfect length for Alberto.

In my opinion, itt of about 30 km fits Froome as well. Better against stronger time trialists than weaker, and he'd probably have better chance against Contador on a longer distance, but flat and possibly windy 30 should be long enough.
The second itt to Chorges is similar to this year's Vuelta itt, so there should be tight.
Mountains will decide, no question.
