Yes true that but I don't like you because you are not only Eyetalian but also a dodgy Indian.

I will try to explain Niki's tweet

Quote:
Na finish tegen zeg ik tegen Contador:Alber, waarom week je van je lijn af?Ten 1e is het Albertooooo en ten 2e was het maar 0,0005 centimeter
The underlined doesn't make any sense, a typo I think.

google translate Dutch>English
Quote:
After finishing to say to Contador: Alber, why week you off your line? For the first and at the second Albertooooo was only 0.0005 inches
Okay that doesn't make any sense

the first part (Na finish zeg ik tegen Contador:Alber, waarom week je van je lijn af?) is literally "after the finish I tell [ask would be better] Contador:Alber why did you deviate from your line? [like during a sprint , they finished 28th and 29th]"

Now the tricky part; there is a Flemish tv series for children which is also popular in the Netherlands, and there is a character called Albert Vermeersch:
Quote:
The town's best (and only) hairdresser is Albert Vermeersch, alias "Alberto Vermicelli". He doesn't get a lot of customers, so he eats a lot to pass the time. Aside from eating, Albert enjoys singing and is an active participant in the local opera company.
Because he is an opera singer he wants to be called "Alberto Vermicelli" because it sounds Italian. But the main character always calls him Albert but pronounced the French way so it sounds like Alber (pretty much Alberto without -to/ the "er" sound is close to the English word "air")
So Albert/Alberto doesn't like this and always says: "Ten eerste is het Albertoooo en ten tweede ---" which would be "Firstly, it's Albertooooo and secondly ----"

So that part is explained, now the last part
Quote:
en ten 2e was het maar 0,0005 centimeter
--> And secondly it was just 0,0005 cm [as in I only deviated 0,0005 cm from my line]
which is obviously a joke related to the cero comma cero cero cero cero cero cero cero cero cero cinco

So it's:
Quote:
After the finish I tell Contador:Alber why did you deviate from your line?[Alberto's reply] Firstly, it's Albertooooo and secondly it was just 0,0005 cm
Ok it's not funny anymore but at least everyone can understand it now

Thanks for explanation, Flo.
You're right. It's witty.

A plus for Terpstra in my notebook.
