Default Last world tour spot to be decided between Saxo and Shimano?

Really gutted to see Argos Shimano struggling to get a WT spot for next season i was really really looking forward to seeing how Degenkolb would do in the sprints.

Also wouldn't be great if Saxo didn't get a spot either i know Contador has ALOT of fans and we all know how he can make particular races exciting aswell.

Theres certainly alot more teams i'd like to see struggling to gain a license than these 2 teams.

how can anyone be a fan of argos. that team is just b-sprinter city (greipel and cavendish are only a sprinters)

besides I need sprinters as much as I need a chronical diseases. I hope saxo gets it and argos won't be invited to any gt. their tour was horrendous

I agree with ryo

there are people that think argos should get it because they have young talents that deserve to develop on wt level

well even tho i think ryo takes his view a bit too far, in general i agree with him.

argos is a completely one dimensional team which is only better then saxo at 1 thing, sprints. other then that saxo has better GT riders (not hard as argos doesn't even has 1) better hilly classics riders (argos has the same amount of these as they have GT riders) and they are about even on cobbles riders if breschel is healthy.

so i don't think it should even be up to discussion who get's the wt spot. besides argos will surely be invited for the tour, the vuelta, PN, romandie, dauphine, eneco, pologne, MSR, RVV and PR, hell they may even get invited to the ardennes where we will be lucky if we manage to spot one of their riders for the entire week, so there is no need to have them sending c teams that will do nothing to races like T-A, VaC, VaPV and the giro.

It is pathetic that teams doesn't known whether they belong to the WT or not at this point in year.

Broken system.

Saxo were better on paper this season as well. However, in the actual races they simply sucked. And to solve that problem they signed some riders who are great on paper, but also sucked (Breschel, Bennati, Kreuziger). For next year I'd definitely expect more in the classics from Degenkolb than Breschel/Bennati.

That leaves a choice between one of the best stage racing teams (built around Contador) vs. one of the best sprinting teams (built around Kittel/Degenkolb). It's a cr.pshoot.
