Default The Better Overall Rider, Boonen or Cancellara?

This should be fun. Not only cobblestones now.

The overall better rider?

Pro-Boonen: 3xRVV, 4xPR, 1xWC RR, 6 stages Tdf, green jersey, stages vuelta, 3xGW, 4xE3, 2xbelgian champion (more relevant than suisse champion I would say lol)

Pro-Cancellara: 1xRVV, 2xPR, 4xWC TT, 1xOlympic gold TT and 3th in RR, 2xE3, 1xMS, 1xTDS, 1xTA, stages vuelta, 8 stages Tdf (btw a lot of days in yellow).

Both of them podium'd a lot too. For example: MS '11 and '12 Canc was 2nd. And in '07 and '10 Boonen was 3th and 2nd. PR '02 and '06 Boonen was 3th and 2nd (train-thing though). PR'08 and '11 Canc was 2nd.

Obviously results don't say everything. I'm just putting out there.

Cancellara takes it, but Boonen has been spectacular and effective.
In any case luckily we have both at the same time competing.

I voted Boonen in the cobbles poll because he's the best cobblestone rider in the peloton right now; I voted Cancellara in this poll because he's a better overall rider than Boonen.

I wish this poll had been posted at the same time as the other one, because a lot of the posters in support of Cancellara in the other thread were really replying to this prompt instead of judging who is the best on cobblestones alone.

Meh!

Both excel in one day races(of varying types). One of them has been world class against the clock while the other has been more than competitive in bunch sprints. One is more likely to ride away from a group but the other can win from a selection. Neither will win a stage race with anything approaching a serious mountain.

Cancellara, of course.

He's got the better engine. Boonen wins more but that is because of his outstanding sprinting skills and because having a good sprint is more lethal today than used to be.
