France Télévision, and more precisely France 2, are preparing a TV-movie about the life of Laurent Fignon, titled "La dernière échappée" - The last breakaway.

The movie will be directed by Fabien Onteniente and Lorant Deutsch will play the role of Fignon.

Fignon had been a long time commentator for the Tour de France at France 2.

Evans 'aspires' to start his season at the Tour of Oman. He says that how well his training goes and condition of his virus will decide whether he competes or not.

If he's still hampered by the virus in training I doubt he will ever be competitive again...
He needs the miles in his legs for the Tour, he already rode too few races last year.
At his age it's often hard to come back from these kind of injuries, unless you're Vino ofc
But I wish him luck with the virus, I hope he can race at least one good season before he retires.

He has to overcome the virus, with 36 you aren't getting the form anymore like when you are 23.

Hopefully he can be at form this year, with Froome, Contador and Andy being the top favourites ha can counterattack in the chaos. He missed a natural attacker last year against Sky in Andy or Alberto.

I read this article a couple of hours before http://www.smh.com.au/sport/cycling/...104-2c96t.html

I would not go that far although it is still rather concerning that the virus is still a bit of a worry.

I hope he's bluffing.

If he hasn't managed to shake the virus during the off season, what hope does he have of being at his best in July.

Sounds more like what Rogers had before. Glandular Fever which often keeps returning when sportsmen reach their competitive level of fitness again. Sinus issues Evans had last year and if they were that bad I'm surprised he did not have an operation like Contador did. Anyway he does not need any further interruptions this year. Most fans would like to see him at the Tour with better form than last year.
