Vertical : 503 meters
Based on the formula here:

1855 yields 6.51 w/kg. Not quite Contadorian circa 2009, but impressive nonetheless.

1840 for me (I had calculated based on 523, not 532).

I went from the line on the road marking the climb start, rather than the screen graphics.

In any case, I don't see anything to raise a flag on such a short steep climb.

I think that 2 Km banner is located in a wrong place.

How long and how steep does a climb have to be before you consider 1850 m/h as alarming?

With Vam, the steeper it is, the easier a high VAM is.

This was a 16 minute effort up the steepest summit finish in recent memory for a Tour, with no mountains earlier in the day or the race.

It's safe to say every single climb will be slower than this - if this is the peak, it's not particularly worrying.

Still very high, but steeper than Verbier and Froome drafted until 2k to go.

The vertical is 503, not 523 or 532? 4'33" on my recording is when the lead group passes the line (and poles) on the climb of the road.

Yes, 532 referred to the start height.

There's a kilometer missing, but I've added the VAM for each section. So yes, this climb from last year's Vuelta is more impressive than the climb today.

510 Watts?

Finally, someone bested Indurain's 508 watts*

Must be improvements in training and nutrition.

Dave.

*Yes, that was over an hour. But, still, 510 watts from a stick figure?

I AGREE.... Janez Brajkovic averaged 7.1 w/kg for his 7.5 minute prologue. (426 watts average at 60 kg). If his FTP is even 85% of that his FTP is close to 6.0 w/kg and he lost 45 seconds on Evans/Wiggo/Froome in 15 minutes! Heck he probably rode the climb at 6.5 w/kg or so.

Its almost as fast as the Lance days, LOL. Rogers had to average 440 on the Joux plane during the Dauphine. Could Greg Lemond have even kept up with Brajkovic? It'd be close.
