Eh? You talkin' about the Rider Thread Directory?
LaFlorecita wrote:I really don't see the issue with subject based threads. It keeps all the news regarding 1 rider or team together and prevents cluttering. I really wouldn't want to see a new thread for everything a rider says or does.

The decision to use subject based threads rather than current event based ones was absolutely asinine. Didn't anyone take a peek at other forums to see how things are done elsewhere? What is really amazing is that the owners are so incompetent that none has ever checked out the forum and had the thought, "WTF! This idiotic policy about threads is costing us money."

We all know it is true. Time for the FID thread. This will be version 3 or 4, forget which
RedheadDane wrote:I think it's safe to say that threads for riders who end up not really doing much will just fade away into nothingness. Then, if said rider suddenly reappears - as seems to have happened with Joe Dombrowski - CMP's index will make it easier/possible to check if that rider already has a thread.

Maarten's life may be a fascinating subject, but it's not the topic of the thread, so let's discuss Babes on Bikes shall we?

Which is exactly what your ill-judged and pointless intervention achieved today. I treated this topic with some disdain till today, but if your action is part of the new regime around here, rather than just an individual aberration, I can guarantee a further exodus of sensible, rational posters who choose not to be treated like little kids, especially not by a brand new mod.Maarten's life may be a fascinating subject, but it's not the topic of the thread, so let's discuss Babes on Bikes shall we?
"Get a life" is not something that needs to be edited out c.q. 'censored'! It does not constitute an invitation to a discussion about that person's life, or to a fight. It is an expression, no more. Giving me a 'warning' for the expression "get a life" leaves me speechless.
