The hows and whys?

The mounting of the brakes being the main difference - what else stands out? Scott comes with bars

The proper comparison should be the Foil vs. Oltre XR.4. Bianchi hit it right with Countervail tech, fast and smooth, so my vote goes to the B. The Foils are fast but ride like schidt, too harsh. Riding buddy is same size and same pedals so we swap bikes sometimes. He had a Foil, worst riding aero frame I've ever experienced. Glad he got rid of it. Scott seems to have a history of jackhammeresque riding bikes. Had an Addict R1 that had no vertical compliance whatsoever, all nervous and jittery anytime the pavement was less than ideal.

I've ridden both for a good period of time. The Foil was one of the best handling and fastest bikes I've ever ridden. You can dive into corners with confidence and not jittery either. Like MWC though, it was a jackhammer. It would jar your fillings loose. It was a 2013 and I understand the new ones ride much better. I do like the Bianchis also for all around great ride. Good luck on the new ride.

Thanks

Am definitely veering towards the Bianchi. A shop has an Oltre X1 in stock - full bike, Ultegra, cheap wheelset. Thinking of buying, stripping and selling what's on it, and throwing the Dura-Ace 9000 I've bought on instead.
