That is one of the most brilliant blog posts I have ever read. The sanctimonious and self-absorbed replies from the doper and his wife truly illustrate the lunacy of the over-the-top doper.

Lance are you reading this???

What is even more hilarious is somebody has the time and care to read that entire link with bloviateing and non-legal rantings and conjecture from all sides.

Until somebody files a legal dispute under the proper juridiction in court, both sides are just rambling meaninglessly! Only a court order, arbitration or judgement about the copyright is legal and binding. Otherwise, two children squabbling on the internet, kind of like the Clinic often.

The irony of email threats and hypocrisy are the jist of the post of course. That isn't lost on people. Always enjoyable to read those type of comments. Rest is a time waster to read IMO. Kind of like what I just wrote as well above. So what?

Hello, I'm new to this thread. I am a 40 year old national competitive category 1 cyclist. I recently saw an age doctor who prescribed the following:
.5ml depo-test 200mg/ml 1x per week
.1ml HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - /arginine 6x per week
.2ml sermorelin 6x per week
.5mg arimidex 2x per week
25mg DHEA daily
25mg pregnenolone daily
5g d-ribose before training daily
500mg microhydrin 1x daily before training daily

He also recommended 4500 velvet deer antler extract...I used before above cycle and had positive results...thoughts?
I will be tested in middle of May at Nationals, when should I stop this cycle so I don't get popped? USADA test
I'm reading about other stuff on this site I have never heard of before...GW, MK, S4? What is this stuff? I have thought about EPO, but looks way too dangerous. Any other stuff I should try that is somewhat safe?
I have been on this program for 5 weeks and have gained around 10#...not really great for a cyclist.
My main question is this: Am I doing this the right way? My goal is to get faster on the bike by May 2016, anything else I should do, or not do?

The reply

hole cow, get off all that......reduce your test to 100mg per week. but if you are racing nat's you need to get off everthing by mid-march...you just need a little test for recovery.

Get super light and get some EPO. Everthing else is BS. You'll be weak as , but when you get you RBC to 55-56 you'll be flying. Start loading 13 weeks out and stop everything a week out.

It's all about watts/Kg not max watts...but b/c I'm racing you in May thats all you get

I hope so.

All the stuff he was on was available from one on-line us retailer, a nootropics source started by a reddit noots board mod. They soon began selling more interesting products, including an evolving array of aromatase inhibitors, HGH, SARMS, ubiquitin, and SR-9009.

Anyway, what he posted and what he got caught for look like a crazy quilt. I don't know him from Adam, but he strikes me as a drug addict who happens to ride a bike.

Why? because he actually speaks about stuff that the vast majority of the pros is up to?
Shame on him!

Buckley was Oscar78 or whatever in that body builder forum thread. bikermitchman was the one who replied to him. Somebody apparently saw the original post and called USADA. They were somehow able to link it to Buckley and showed up at his house a couple of weeks later for a test.

BTW, the body builder forum got a lot more interesting with a user named "travist" logging in and talking about how they were going to do more testing. Don't really know whether or not it was Travis Taggart, but I sure hope so.

No, because he is a 40 year old amateur; compromising his long term health for an imagined glory. That's pathetic, not honest.
I've said all along it's difficult to judge some of the pro motivation when it comes to legitimately feeding the kids with no other life options. It's cheating but not near as low rent as being an old amateur.

Not sure how I feel about the damage done to the guy's life, if true. Have to say that his team association doesn't come as a shock at all.

That was a good article, nuanced and understanding. I've spent some time around and among Cat 1 masters racers in northern California, and a good many of them are . . . intense, driven, type A personalities. Not particularly fun to be around.

I hope this guy is getting whatever help he needs and can put this in perspective. Not worth letting it take a greater toll than it already has.

Was around a bunch of them and SoCal Masters in Bend. The "sprinters" were outwardly some of the biggest jerks I've ever seen...off the bike. Most acted like frat/gym aggrophiles. They raced worse as though interfering with other riders and showing them the curb in the middle of a Crit field was good racing. Particularly the Monster team from SoCal.

The article was good, but a few of the minor facts were wrong. The team that Buckley was riding for, Touchstone/Specialized is NOT associated with Thom Weisel. A bit over two years ago, the majority of the riders on that team split off from NCCF/Specialized. On top of that Thom Weisel has not been associated with NCCF/Specialized since about 2006 when they were AMD Masters. In 2007, his son Wyatt took over the team and changed the focus to junior riders with the idea that the masters, besides racing themselves were to mentor the juniors and help them develop. Sponsorship priorities also changed and were directed to the juniors. The junior program has been pretty successful, winning a few national championships, and one of the kids placed highly at 'cross worlds last year. The split happened basically because the guys on what became Touchstone/Specialized were just a bunch of guys who didn't have kids, wanted to race and didn't have the time or inclination to mentor. In fact, Buckley moved to that team as they split from NCCF/Specialized and was never associated with Weisel even in the most indirect way.

Bringing the Weisel/Armstrong connection into this article was wrong. I don’t think that it was malicious, but that part was poorly researched.

Also, I'm not sure why they brought Chris D'Alusio into the article. Chris hasn't raced in at since 2010 and was never team mates with Buckley.

Frankly, I feel sad for Mike. There is nothing to be won or ego boost to be had that is worth the utter **** storm his life has become. What a **** stupid thing to do. And I don't mean the forum posting part, just doing the drugs.

Your comment makes no sense. What does one have to do with the other? Somebody called USADA and basically gave them a case that is like shooting fish in a barrel. After the test came back, the guy didn't fight it, case closed. Danielson is fighting it and that is going to take time to resolve.

A lot of atletes visit anti aging doctors / clinics. So did three times master world champion triple jump Giorgio Maria Bortolozzi. He recently got caught for DHEA during the National championship. He has a good excuse though, he is 78 years old.
Interesting fact: He is a retired head of gynecology in a hospital.
