My wife went to lunch with her 'ladies group' at the beginning of June, and among all of the conversation there was a discussion about Sons of Anarchy. I was aware of the series, but had never seen it, nor did I realize that it ran so long (plus there is a new spin-off coming this fall). So based on that we started watching abuot an episode a week. It was just barely compelling enough to keep me going for a while, but then I kind of got hooked. Its been 100 degrees here so in the heat of the day we usually watch at least an episode each day. We just started season 3 and I'm losing interest. The biggest complaint I hear from other people is that the Sons are just so messed up, everything they do is chaos. Mostly I don't really have a problem with that per se because I think that when you are involved in crime a lot of stuff can go wrong, plus no one ever said that MC gangs are full of scholars and geniuses. What's losing me is that there are too many layers of chaos. Yes, all of the MC stuff is a mess as expected, but now EDIT: my 'but now' was a spoiler so I took it out... I'll give it a few more episodes, but unless there is a change, I can't see making it through season 3 let alone making it to season 7.

Don't give me any spoilers, but is it worth riding out for a while?

Crackerjack! is set to return to our screens for the first time in 35 years the BBC has today announced.

Crackerjack! (Compost Corner! was even better) :)

I binged watched it again a couple of years after first seeing it. I found it very much darker and depressing second time around. I suppose I was inured to the cinematic and comedic excellence second time round and more focussed on the core story of tragic descent.

The Samurai. This Japanese series was huge in the sixties (in Australia anyway)
The star of the show attracted bigger crowds than the Beatles when he toured Oz.
The DVDs of all the series are still available.

It's similar for me.

And on rewatches it just seems to me that Walter White isn't all that great of a character, and the same trait that comes up time and time again, that ginormous ego of his, unravels super early.

Thought Bates Motel was an underrated series. Great performances by the the two leads.

The Orville has become a favorite for us. Enough so that we are looking at getting Orville costumes to wear to Sci-Fi/Comic Conventions.

GoT ending is one I was ready for.

Supernatural ending after S15 is one I was not ready for. It was obviously way past expiration date, but that was one hell of a run.

Unbelievable run for Supernatural. A Deadwood movie has been completed that is set 10 years after the final series. Could be fun. GOT will rate through the roof of course but many will be happy that it's coming to an end. Spin off series in development.

Just finished watching Baptiste on BBC, another excellent series that was a spin-off of ‘The Missing’. Fully recommend both.

Finished it yesterday.

Best TV show I've seen in years.

Now all there is to it is waiting for more seasons and be disappointed.
