King Kenny put him on the bench for some reason so I can understand him. Adam from Blackpool and Henderson from Sunderland were in the first eleven, while Mereiles is a better player.

I don't know how to rate all this rumours, can't imagine he asked for a transfer some minutes before the deadline :p

6 minutes........and then rien ne va plus

btw, Arsenal looks ******
But Merte should help them. He just doesn't like small, fast guys. :D

Don't think it was. When they published his transfer request he could have been a Chelsea player for hours. It certainly already was a done deal when they published it 30 before deadline.

Wow that's a transfer. Good signing for Chelsea tough. Terrible move by Liverpool, best midfielder next to Gerrard imo.

No, he is definitly not. And Chelsea paid an overprize for him. He'll be nothing but a backup - just as he was in Liverpool.

We have the babes on bikes thread for real art. You choose which art to admire, or choose both. If you think you can...

And it's idiot he was in Liverpool. How much paid Chelsea? Didn't read it.

And I would like to ask someone with mod-power to keep this thread clean. Thank you.

this is the association football thread, there is an american football thread aswell, so let us not turn either of them into a childish argument about the name of football or I will start deleting things :S

12 mil. He had a good run of 6 games last season and that was pretty much it.

any1 that says barca hasn't been helped by the referees over the last 3 years is just blind. . .

Didnt hear anyone complain when Messis perfectly legit goal was disallowed against Arsenal which would have made it 0-2 and knocked Arsenal out. Instead Arsenal are let back into the tie and when van persie gets a red card, THEN they complain.

I also didnt hear him complain when Inters third offside goal was allowed in the 1st leg of the semi, then in the 2nd bojans legitimate last minute goal was disallowed, either one of which should have taken Barca through, knocked him out, and both of which prove that there is no Barca fifa conspiracy.

Of course his other champions league was also won on a wrong decision, against Man utd.

If it wasnt for wrong decisions he would never have gotten close to a champions league final yet alone the trophy, and yet when he acts as if the world is against him, all his lamps nod in agreement, and the tabloids "baaa" along.

the top 30 teams in Europe in average 2010 attendance was from about 40,000 to 80,000. The LA Galaxy with Beckham would draw about 60,000 in attendance, but averaged about 20,000 without him. The Seattle Sounders drew an average attendance of 36,000 in 2010. So in Europe interest in football is still much greater than in the States (Duh). But football in the States is growing, and was reported in March 2011 to be on the verge of overtaking the NHL in attendance. http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/sports/2011/03/24/major-league-soccer-poised-overtake-nhl-4th-popular-professional-sports-league/

I have to agree (though TFF's post made me chuckle). Let's keep this on topic and not get derailed. Especially with a Football vs. other sport debate.
