Lots of house music/electronic stuff. All when running or on the mountain bike, never on the road. I dj on the side, so after my regular job I need to listen to music to figure out what I am going to play, or what sucks, or what sucks but people will like, etc. So more often than not I listen to whatever was top 40 that week, or hot 100. Which kind of sucks lately, so my mountain biking days I limit that to things I know I like.

I don't listen to music when I ride because I need to concentrate on not getting hit by terrible Atlanta drivers. However, when I am driving I mainly listen to:

Massive Attack
Tricky
PJ Harvey
Radiohead
TV on the radio

I actually have my music on while I ride on the road - I have found you get real good at maintaining a straight line!!

My music taste is very broad but the tiny 'shuffle' for going on a ride is filled with dance & trance music.

Listen to my ipod always while riding - find it indispensable for long rides. Can hear traffic perfectly well so not as concerned as others - turning the volume down or using only one ear bud for instance..... I ride in mostly rural areas though so I'm sure that makes a difference. Music depends on the mood or purpose - normal, easy rides = my "All Songs" playlist which means anything from Sepultura to Damian Rice. If I'm going hard I can't go past Tool.

Paolo Nutini, the second song is the best and if you Youtube him he does some astonishing covers and loads of original and thought revoking stuff. He will be bigger than Pelvis.

Radio Shack have ensured my no purchase of anything they sell after joining in with the force of Darkness. I may just change my mind if their new twin turn table time trial bike with electric wheels is any good.

Music would be fun on the road, but I like to be aware.
