Kidding, I'm not a great fan of milk so I'm not sure eggnog is for me; or something I'll enjoy in a couple of years time.

Apologies, Brullnux, I forget some of you fine posters aren't quite of age yet. (Not to mention, and despite our age, some of us are quite lactose intolerant.)

So, what can we drink instead? (Sorry about the eggnog, btw., it was just my symbolic way of celebrating the season of... well, whatever.)

Nah, don't be sorry :)

Love that song! :D

I shall be indulging in Guiness and whiskey this Christmas, although not at the same time! There's a nice Guiness ale that has just been released that I'm desperate to try.

Happy holidays to all. There, that's my concession to 'season's greetings'.

The angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. 31 "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. 32 "He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; 33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end." 34 Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?" 35 The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:30-35)

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14)

Yep. I refuse to do anything Christmas related until after my birthday. Preferably after Halloween, but definitely after my birthday. (Mid Oct for that.)

I believe our Canadian cousins/cousins Canadiens are celebrating
their Thanksgiving today, which I assume will be fairly similar to the
American thanksgiving, i.e. pumpkin pie & 'grid-iron' football on TV.
So Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian/Canadien mates today.

Here, in the fine land of the USA today... some people celebrate Columbus Day, while others celebrate The Indigenous People's Day.

Being I'm an officially legal immigrant (unless **** Trump's ******* advocates say otherwise), I will abstain from voting on this particular issue.

(Though, just between you and me, I will always vote with the Indigenous Peoples.)

I have seen over and over that the consumption of Turkey doesn't cause you to shut down into some involuntary coma type nap..I don't have the scientific data but my preliminary research is showing that multiple pieces w whipped cream..potato mounds w gravy ..plates of turkey complimented w cranberries and green bean casserole. .and immeasurable stuffing w gravy many cause seasonal drowsiness. .I also can't completely confirm that brown and serve rolls w butter dipped in gravy. .may also be the cause of sleepiness. .or none of that and it could be the Cornhuskers making everyone tired
