Yeah, Nibali also cost me the TdF. Right now it looks good for the teams with Quintana and Moreno.

Had Peter Velits so was a little gutted... but after Nibali DQ's i can't feel bad anymore.

But this is CQ game after all, still a long way to go.

There goes Niemiec for me. That means I'm still in contention for dead last.

Rooting for Semir now, Pozzovivo for Nibali was my alt team. I'll try to follow the game, even though I lost a big one. I suspect a close call between some with Quintana once again.

Edit: and, surprise surprise, it seems to me that Hugo's team is a real strong one.

thanks for your support. :D

I felt a bit disappointet when i saw Quintana 'crack' and Majka and Pozzo losing time but one of my other teams had Nibali and Peluchi.
So i'm satisfied i have chosen this team.

Stage 3
As is often the case with sprint stages, points are fairly sparse: some teams have however spent big on sprinters (or whatever pigeonhole Sagan fits in), so they shine today.

Guaranteed points
SAGAN Peter 70 1 team
BOUHANNI Nacer 40 2 teams
DEGENKOLB John 25 0 team
CHAVES RUBIO Jhoan Esteban 18 5 teams

DOCKER Mitchell 5 0 team
STUYVEN Jasper 3 1 team
REYNES MIMO Vicente 2 1 team

Trudgin, last on the projected scores yesterday, is the guaranteed top point winner today, with a unique pick of Sagan, the most expensive rider in the game. Josedin had 2 unique picks in the top ten.

1 Trudgin 70
2= Gigs_98, Shalgo 40
4= AmisVelo, asdfgh101, Barmaher, Blues_in_the_Bottle, Midge 18

Thanks a lot for the update Armchair. Just one thing, that should be Richeze instead of Oliveira in the Guaranteed Points, whom plenty of people had, no? Sorry if I'm wrong, I don't understand much of this stuff.

Cheers.

You're right: thanks for pointing it out. Also Sbaragli (unselected) was 6th, not Reguigui. CN is about the only site that has a CSV format for the results, which the spreadsheet requires, but they are hopeless at updating any changes to the first released, provisional, results. Not only do they still record Songezo Jim as having come 14th on stage 2, but they ignore the 15 minutes plus that he lost on stage 3 and still have him in 14th on GC on Monday night.

So the eight teams who have Richeze (Search, Mellow_Velo, 18Valve, Comodoro, Crevaison, Leadbelly, Minessa and Scrooll07) get 10 guaranteed points, and one for now for 10th standing in the points classification, but one of those, Scrool07, loses 7 of those 11 points for the phantom appearance of Reguigui in the top ten.

A few slight changes in the standings:
1 AmisVelo 1114
2 Barmaher 1069
3 Midge 1026

Two hilly finishes already mean that the riders who will score high are already near the top of the rankings, but there are still pretenders who will fall away. Which of our teams near the top are underpinned by genuine contenders, and which by pretenders? (Partial answer to that mainly rhetorical question: the top 5 teams have Chaves)

Stage 5
Sagan is again the unique pick that is drawing in the points, while Pozovivo's unexpected placing means that most teams get at least something out of the day:
EWAN Caleb 70 0 team
DEGENKOLB John 40 0 team
SAGAN Peter 25 1 team (Trudgin, who does not have Pozzovivo)
DUMOULIN Tom 18 0 team
DRUCKER Jempy 15 1 team (Josedin, who does)
SBARAGLI Kristian 7 0 team
POZZOVIVO Domenico 5 23 teams
MORENO FERNANDEZ Daniel 3 3 teams (Lightbing, Midge, Search, all of whom have Pozzovivo)
VAN DER SANDE Tosh 2 0 team
MAES Nikolas 1 0 team

Midge extends her lead in the guaranteed points ranking slightly.

Projected standing
Very few points gained or lost by riders in the game today, except for a partial return to Earth for the Chaves teams; these are the only selected riders to have a shift of more than 10 points today
MORENO FERNANDEZ Daniel 33 3 teams
SAGAN Peter 25 1 team
DRUCKER Jempy 20 1 team
...
NIEMIEC Przemyslaw -15 1 team
QUINTANA ROJAS Nairo Alexander -17 12 teams
CHAVES RUBIO Jhoan Esteban -135 5 teams

Midge leapfrogs Barmaher to lead both classifications, as the Chaves teams retain the top 5 places, but much closer to the rest of the field.

Giggs98 gains 15 points, and Big Mac loses 15, by virtue of CN finally correcting the identity of the Lampre non-finisher on stage 2 as Niemiec rather than Koshevoy.

Perhaps tomorrow could be a step towards a more representative view of the final results. Curious about Chaves, among others AmisVelo might just profit really well if he keeps up longer, or even gets a top 10 in the end.

You've only lost them once: from stages 2 to 4 you were credited with 15 presumed finishing points (position >50th), that you shouldn't have been, and they have now been removed. You are currently getting ) points for him, and you can rest confident that this will remain his score.

Thanks to Blues in the Bottle for pointing out that the 4 teams with Rojas (Blues in the Bottle, Josedin, MellowVelo, Murrjt) were deprived of their 10 points for his 5th place yesterday. I'll blame it on inconsistency in the presentation of names on CN, and my correcting 29 out of the 30 such inconsistencies yesterday, while missing that one.
Murrjt moves up one place, Josedin two, and Mellow Velo four and into the top ten.

You've only lost them once: from stages 2 to 4 you were credited with 15 presumed finishing points (position >50th), that you shouldn't have been, and they have now been removed. You are currently getting ) points for him, and you can rest confident that this will remain his score.

Ha ha, thanks. It was more of a tongue in cheek. :p

Stage 7
Sorry it's late, it's the weekend... (and CN have totally messed up their results: they reckon Richeze came 2nd on the stage, and that Songezo Jim is 15th in GC, and that no-one was placed between 72nd and 75th, so this is taking a lot longer than it should)

Guaranteed points on the stage

LINDEMAN Bert-Jan 70 0 team
KOSHEVOY Ilia 40 1 team
ARU Fabio 25 3 teams
CHAVES RUBIO Jhoan Esteban 25 5 teams

MAJKA Rafal 10 29 teams
VALVERDE BELMONTE Alejandro 5 0 team
QUINTANA ROJAS Nairo Alexander 3 12 teams
MEINTJES Louis 2 1 team
ROCHE Nicolas 1 0 team

Koshevoy was "awarded" to Gigs 98 as a replacement for non-starter Serpa: it's nice when the strange rules I dreamt up have a good outcome.
1 Gigs_98 40 (Koshevoy)
2 AmisVelo 38 (Majka, Chaves, Quintana)
3= Kabete, Mellow_Velo 35 (Aro and Majka); asdfgh101, Barmaher, Blues_in_the_Bottle 35 (Majka & Chaves)
8 Midge 25 (Chaves)
9 Hugo87, MKind1, NairoQ, Semir, TomJelte, Tuart, Vladimir 13 (Majka & Quintana)

Standings:
Midge regains the red jersey, The Sceptic manages an 11 place rise: the teams with Van Garderen suffer the biggest losses (Barmaher, BigMac, Blues in the Bottle, Comodoro), those with Bouhanni (Gigs 98, Shalgo) will consider themselves less likely to pick up future stage points.
