Was he ever banned for doping? he was linked to doping, but I think that was after he retired. As far as I can remember and google I don't think he ever receive a ban.

Is he currently still active in cycling somehow? (Manager, mechanic, commentator etc.)?
The Day Team Sky disappears from cycling I'll truly enjoy watching a mountainous Grand Tour stage again -- former Milan-San Remo winner I interviewed.
