thanks ;)

not sure what kind of program they'll have though, I didn't really take into consideration that the Vuelta a Colombia isn't a UCI race anymore. But seeing GW lining up in Tachira next week could be a good sign

right in the centre of popularity which will do, 5 out of the top 6 picks, I don't have Florez Lopez which I think was deliberate, I can't remember who were the 3 or 4 riders I dropped from my initial list but the fact that I recognise his name means I must have at least stumbled upon him during my limited research. a limited research that meant I missed Tanner and Bol who look like useful picks.

I have never heard of my 2 unique picks but my reasoning was something along the lines of:

Ben Turner - very young and English but he is on a Belgian Continental team so should do a lot of races
Norbert Banaszek - on the same Polish Continental team as Maciej Paterski and thought I would take a chance on him

I picked him out of a sense of trust of Caja Rural's knowledge of young Spanish climbers. Who is Alvaro Morata?

A footballer. :D
But man, I swear picked him only because of his results: 1st in Valenciaga, 2nd in Gorla and the National, isn't bad.

BTW, very good unique pick for "search" with Heiner Parra. Think he's a good searcher.

He raced for the Fundacion Contador team in 2013 and 2016 :) yes last year at Caja Rural U23 he seemed to flourish

A guy who could have been a very good exclusive pick is Juan Lopez-Cozar. Along with Samitier, Castrillo and Cuadros, one of the best Spanish amateur 0-pointers that jump to profs.

Damn, this came up right in the middle of main game entry madness and I am not seeing it until now! When I saw it suggested on the main game thread I thought it was a great idea - nice work, rote. Well good luck everyone, I'll for sure play next year.

In this game I have not won any points yet  . In this week, in Valencia, one of my youngsters will be running, the Italian Michele Gazzoli, from Polartec. Let's see if he gives me the first points, to give us a little encouragement

I accepted a late entry, DJW who will participate with an *. This is their team:
BOUHANNI Rayane
DE KETELE Kenny
ENGER Sondre Holst
FLOREZ LOPEZ Miguel Eduardo
INTXAUSTI ELLORIAGA Beñat
KELLY Jake
PIDCOCK Thomas
RICE Michael
TURNER Ben
VISSER Louis

After almost one month of racing, all but one team scored. And we have an undisputed leader in Nicosix, scoring 84 points with Enger, Florez, Castrillo and Scott Bowden who I never before heard of. This unique pick, who participated in the TDU (and was 3rd in the Mountains Classification) and Cadel Evans Race in the TDU contributed 28 points thus being the second most scorer after Enger. The later one is on every team except the one of jon_ezeitza leaving them without points.

7 of the 82 chosen riders scored, the others being unique pick LYONS Angus, PARRA BUSTAMENTE Heiner Rodrigo and TRARIEUX Julien.

Please, what a damage it has put in my eyes! In the 2018 CQ Ranking Manager Thread I'm the first with almost a thousand points ... and here the last one with zero! As this continues like this, I will increase the number of diopters until I can not see the screen!

We have two new riders scoring points for their teams for the first time: BALLESTEROS CANOVAS Miguel Angel 11 points in France (Tour La Provence and Tour du Haut-Var) and BELTRAN SUAREZ Edward Alexander for his 13th place in the Colombian NC RR. Both are unique picks for Blues in the Bottle and search. The latter one is the highest mover jumping from 28 to 2. Blues in the bottle also enters the top 3, with Nicosix still leading the ranking.

FLOREZ LOPEZ Miguel Eduardo doubles his scores to 6 points with 3 points from the new Oro y paz race for 14 teams while PARRA BUSTAMENTE Heiner Rodrigo scores 12 points in NC RR and another 12 points in the Oro y paz stage race. The latter one is again only picked by search. So now the second least popular team challenges the number one spot of Nixosix.

jon_ezeitza team consists still of 10 zero pointers.

top 3 this update:
1. search 32 points
2. Blues in the bottle 14 points
3. all 14 Florez teams 3 points

rest: 0 points

1.2 Updates
Every two to four weeks, depending on my time and the success of the chosen riders

Hmmm, not knowing anything about how busy rote_lanterne is, or even if there has been any significant points scored, it would be nice to have an update soon for this game also.

Sorry guys for the late update. Good news: Every team is now off the start getting their first points. Of the 82 chosen ones, 13 riders scored since the last update. CASTIBLANCO CUBIDES Jorge Camilo scored a massive 70 points in Taiwan and especially Thailand. As he is a unique pick for AupaPyama they leap 17 places now leading the competion. Meanwhile quite popular pick BOL Cees (10 teams) scored 24 points in 2.2. races in France. Third most scoring rider BONDARENKO-EDWARDS Sascha (unique pick for JOSEDIN) got 15 points also in Thailand, making JOSEDIN the highest mover (+26) to forth place. Nicosix loses the leader jersey to AupaPyama but stays at the podium for the moment (third place). Further entries into the top ten are ThePirate81, laarsland and Cordi333.
