Well, that's the end of seeing Nibs on the top step of the podium if he goes there.

How's the coffee Vincenzo? Trek really needed a replacement for Cancellara... Nibs to bag a couple of monuments, one WCRR or the Olympic gold. This year's Giro will be enough as GTs are concerned. Wait, next year starts in Sicily...

Nibali apparently called Contador asking if Trek let you go ham in your home GT

Nibali to Trek should work well - Nibali prefers to ride the Giro while Porte's only interest is the TDF.

Several sources have told us that Nibali will move to Trek and bring with him an entourage that includes his brother and fellow Bahrain Merida rider, Antonio Nibali, and coach Paolo Slongo.

It would be a great learning experience for the young Italian riders that are riding for Trek and if Nibali is really going to focus more on one day races i'm all for it.
The rumour is that he dislikes some of the people that are working at BM and that they are forcing him to ride the Tour after the Giro.

Now I am really wondering what to expect from Nibali at the Tour.

They certainly did, at some point most likely when the Trek deal was on its way he said that Tour is what the team wanted, he wasn't keen on doing it.

Can he focus at racing first, please? Trek Trek Trek, for how long is this rumour already?
BTW, Trek don't like that team, would be bad news. It'sn't a team anymore

Trek and Bahrein are probably the most disappointing teams of the year thus far.
Don't know if it's a good move, but as long as he's got Slongo and a couple of trusted teammates he should be fine.

Part of me wishes he doesn't perform at the Giro and decides to focus on one day races for the remaining years of his career. But I'm not sure a new team would approve of this approach.

Back from Teide, Slongo says Nibali worked very well, even the scooter was employed. Slongo is satisfied and very confident. Together with Vincenzo there were some of his teammates, Antonio, Damiano Caruso, Valerio Agnoli, Andrea Garosio and Hermann Pernsteiner. Almost an exclusive Italian operation.

He should definitely start to get in shape now. If he finishes outside of the Top 10 I will be worried.

Yeah, outside top 10 it is not looking too good. But then again Pinot won it last year and got burned out and sick in the Giro because it was ridden so hard. Same with Yates.

If history repeats, the last time Nibali rode two GT's back to back, he got himself thrown out of the second one. I think there is reason to think that he will not be very competitive at the Tour this year. Of course, he did finish the season well that year.
