As with last year, coverage from the flag in all stages, Kirby and Kelly kicked off today, Hatch now on with Sean.

Well, Carlton kirby I can handle, but I just can’t take anymore of Brin Smith repeatedly saying, Tour de France, Tour de France, Tour de Frances !. The problem only made worse by the boring drone of his Scottish accent.

I’m off to ITV.

David Millar takes a tongue in cheek dig at Sean Kelly: "They might go for the time bo... bonus. Almost said bonification there."

Kirby completely failed to mention who took the bonus seconds just now. Thankfully Kelly saved the day and told us 5 minutes later...

Lol that is class. Lets be honest Sean Kelly only gets away with his rambling nonsense about bonifications and the last number of days because of the respect engendered to him from his outstanding palmares in a well loved era of racing.

ITV4 coverage is so much better than Eurosport though I do like Brian Smith. The big benefit to having two broadcasters in the UK is that often they will have different ad breaks meaning you can chop between them on big mountain days and miss far less of the action.

Had to rewind to check, but Tony Gibb really did just refer to the Binckbank stage 1 winner as Yabio Facobsen. Never thought I'd be pining for Kirby but ...

Kirby loves this race, as do I.
I pine for the days I could watch Kirby wax poetic at the Brinck-Brank-whatever-you-call-it Tour.
Methinks it's time to start a petition to get him back into the pilot chair.
I will go door -to-door in my neighbourhood if need be.
Who's with me?
....guys? You there?
TMP 402?
Let's get this done!

How does one usurp the 'iron man' in Brian Smith - He does so many races it's not funny.

Lives not so far from the ES studios where most of the comms are done. Freelance so he's not going to turn down work if he can avoid it.

Not sure where to put this but it blows my mind that Eurosport shows the Tour of Hungary and not races like Tour of Switzerland and Romandie

If they have a space in their schedule and are given content for free they will show it. The Tour de Azerbaijan used to feature every year and may even still do so.

They started to air Romandie last year and Suisse this year.
I think the only big race that they still miss is Down Under.

Both shown on British Eurosport this year - if not where you are, it's a local right thing. From 2013-2015 Sky had the rights in UK.TdS has been live for a few years now.

And Brian Smith doubles with the Binck Banck Tour and the Colorado Classic.

Any Player users around? Anyone having trouble with logging in?
It keeps telling me that "something went wrong", which I've kinda figured, but I can't find out what

I sometimes have to use a new browser. My player in Chrome is stuck in some kind of weird neither logged in nor not logged in limbo.

I have had issues with Firefox repeatedly and have switched to Edge this last few weeks. Had issues logging in but was mainly with the 'on demand' section - kept getting stuck on diarrhoea relief ads! Seems to have moved on to a Prime one now, a bit more stomachable!

I'm already on Edge, and it worked quite fine earlier today…

Ah! Tried it in Chrome, it worked!
