Not a bad ride by Tejay today. Not a climb that suited him, and he did a good job at limiting the losses.

Yeah and he still has to be sore after his crash. Roche going quite well also.

^ This^ I was concerned how he would be today. Anytime that you hit the ground, its tough the next few days. Its no bog deal to go out for a spin, but its pretty tough to get your body to go GT 100%.

Yep, another good day for TJ, especially after what happened yesterday.

Let's hope today was TJ's "post rest day" bonk. He needs to remember he is only 2:15 off the podium with the TT still coming.

Perhaps TJ is the new Ninja and is taking the legacy over from Zubeldia :D

Unbelievable, because Aru cracked and De La Cruz gave up Van Garderen is indeed 10th in the GC.

Had he been treated like the 2 Ag2r riders, he would have been sent off. I guess this top 10 comes with an asterisk and has been sponsored by the Magic Carpets company.

Good result for TJVG added to his Giro stage win, maybe next year he can keep the momentum going.

That was one of the hardest GTs in awhile with a stellar cast so top 10 is very good

However the way he rides he could do maybe 6th to 9th even 5th at a push if field is not top .... but look at the climbers coming through ...he is not going to challenge for a podium
Plus its a hard hard way to make a living

he would be better going for stages and KOM, and of course stage races...

Bite the bullet and make life easier for yourself Tejay

Yeah that would be easier. Top 5 looks a bit beyond TJVG at the moment, the younger generation is already coming through. Contador is going and Nibali and Froome are probably a few years away. Even riders like Michael Woods and George Bennett are making the top 10 now so the competition is only increasing. Kelderman and Zakarin are improving. Landa, Lopez and the list goes on. I actually thought that TJVG may have retired before Talansky but both of them were struggling. TJVG's results this year will give him some motivation. Needless to say it's a tough sport and it must be difficult having a family with so much travel involved and trying to find some balance especially when the career is not going too well.

Is Teejay now the only rider from BMC this year who managed top 10 in a GT? I think he is isn't he? Porte crashed in the Tour and I can't even remember what they did in the Giro
