Regardless of the parcours, TA is no longer an objective for Nibs, on the other hand TBMC has some good options with Teuns and even Rohan.

With Colbrelli riding the Tour the Giro should have finally given him a grand tour chance again. Now it will likely be all for Nibali in the Giro with Bauhaus having to wait for the Vuelta, likely not suiting him much. I suppose both Pozzovivo and Caruso will now also be used as helpers in the Giro a long with helpers like (Pernsteiner, Koren, Tratnik, A. Nibali and perhaps Agnoli) and then with the 2 getting their own chance to lead in the Vuelta while riders like Colbrelli Teuns and Dennis will then ride the TDF for stages besides Nibali. The most interesting thing will likely be if Mohoric will also be needed to help in the Giro also or if he can now get a very free role in the Tour instead.

I guess they'll also send Padun to the Giro, no idea about Mohoric, but the Mohoric-Nibali combination has the potential to be really awesome.

I think Nibali might prefer some more experienced riders (he often does) and for instance riders like Agnoli could be preferred over Padun since they are close friends, and the same with his brother, but Padun must be in the Giro-picture too for sure, though my guess is that they will save him for the Vuelta instead where he will also get a much more free role.

Otherwise yes that Nibali-Mohoric combination would be awesome and especially give Nibalis downhill-weapons some serious extra firepower. It does seem likely they will want Mohoric in the Giro also as helper as he would for sure be in the optimal team and its the number one goal, even though it could also be great to see him in a free role in the TDF alternatively.

Well adding a couple former BMC riders would definitely improve the team's TTT.

Pozzovivo will be his gregario for the Giro. Great news.

There will be Dumoulin, he'll need his curse working at full power more than the team mates.

Could be like this: Nibali, Pozzovivo, Caruso, Pernsteiner, Padun, A. Nibali, Koren plus another one, hopefully Mohoric. With Dumoulin in the picture it will be one hell of a ride until the finish line in Verona.

Please no Koren. He was totally useless in Le Tour 2018. Someone like Tratnik would be better.

Agnoli or Tratnik for Koren, please. Koren didn't help Vincenzo a lot in this year's Tour. Will be a fascinating battle with Dumoulin.

If he is facing Simon Yates, Bernal and Dumoulin, he needs to take some risks if he want to win it.

Those guys are likely to outpace him on a MTF. He could have an ally in more aggressive riders like Landa and Bardet.

Bernal can't time trial and there are 3 time trials at this Giro.

Bardet is not likely going to the Giro. Movistar hasn't made any official announcement yet, although it appears Landa/Valverde to the Giro. However it's still possible it may just be Valverde going tot he Giro.

That's not true. He won a mountain time trial and is also great in the hilly ones. In the flat ones, he is still top 30 and have plenty of time to improve. With the help of Sky, I think he will be closer to Contador than Quintana in that discipline.

I'll expect him top 10 in ones in San Luca and San Marino. The only problem is the one in Verona.

Well, Bernal in top shape is my favourite to take the jersey in San Luca. Sure that he will top-5 the TT in San Marino as well. He is Contador-esque in those type of time trials, just wait and see.

Giro is without a doubt shaping up to be the most exciting GT of the year again. Can't wait.

He lost a ton of time in California to Tejay last year. Dumoulin is a better time trialist than Tejay and a better climber. Dumoulin is better in hilly time trials than flat ones. Nibali is also better in those type of time trials as well as mountain time trials (as long as he doesn't have mechanical issues like 2016 Giro).

He was beating the likes of Roglic and Porte in Suisse at the age of 21.

He is obviously going to lose a good chunk of time to Dumoulin in the time trials. But I don't see him being any worse than the other competitors.

I expect him to be very good in the first two time trials. Top 10 at the very least. Perhaps top 5.
