It was only his 4th race day of the year so how about we let up on calling him garbage and give him some time.

I don't think he believes what he wrote.

His words are meant to challenge Kokoso's biased opinion on Czech riders.

Not sure all the race miles in the world can possibly fix a top 10 GT rider that is being dropped on the slightest of inclines in a frikken sprinter stage of the Dauphine.
He might be OTL here soon. Not sure he is salvageable.
You are joking, right? Or you don't like him much?
Just wait for the time trial.

He abandoned the Dauphine. Hazaran wasn't biased nor hostile. Was just right.

Was he OTL? No, so Hazaran was not right in that regard. You don't know why he didn't finish. So right about what?

Please. He wrote "might be OTL"
Konig left the race after 50km. He couldn't ride.
Yes he "might be OTL" if he decide to continue racing.

Diet doesn't matter in pro-level sport?

If he is, then it can't be easy getting decent balanced meals every day while travelling to various parts of the world, many of which are not exactly vegan-friendly. At the very least it's going to put a huge (perhaps unreasonable) demand on the Bora chef. At least they can extract all the nasty tofu and bean odours though, without the need for a cookerhood.

Its a cooking revolution.

Damn, that add is horrible, I want Nibz and Basso back cooking Sidi shoes.

Being a vegan is the healthiest diet in the world....all studies show this
Just need to get vit B12 and very good for weight control

The problem is that it is very hard to stick to , not only missing meat and fish but dairy

Supposedly, but more importantly he is a Presidential Candidate Adviser and he is also very busy helping all those pro-refugee non profit organizations. Therefore, he does not have time for cycling training, racing etc.

... and his knee(s) are also an issue ... which could be related to his diet.

BTW last week when I proposed in the 2018 transfer thread that Bora should hire Hirt to replace Konig, some members were laughing at me.

Of course diet matters but why would being a vegan be an issue for a pro athlete? I don't see it being raised in other rider threads when they have problems, I don't see people asking if it's really true that Van Garderen is a meat eater. Being a vegan isn't going to be hindering Konig, eating poorly will but any athlete eating poorly will have problems.

I heard Niki Terpstra eats exclusively baby kittens. He is clearly suffering from this because he can't compete in the mountains.

I knew there had to be a reason why he hadn't won a GT

Your diet, the food you eat, is a source of minerals and vitamins such as zinc, creatine, carnosine, DHA, EPA and most importantly protein and fats. Protein and fat keeps your muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints strong and lubed.

So in a nutshell, avoiding meat is not recommended for homo sapiens
