There will be No legal Giro coverage in the USA this year. beIN holds the rights and they are not broadcasting it. So unless someone steps up and buys it we are SOL as far as a reliable source. Cycling News told me they are not buying it and NBCSN certainly isn't.

Tiz cycling is like all the other sites that show copyrighted content, sooner or later they are shut down.

One of my friends has purchased a VPN and Europlayer but is having difficulty getting it functional and he is in IT. So I'm hoping he gets it straightened out and then will come do mine :).

As far as finding youtube streams, I log into youtube and search '<race name year> live stream'. Francetv has the best one I've found. There used to be a couple of really good ones but they've been shut down for infringement :(.

The Giro will be a challenge for us this year. Damn beIN!
Ach sooooo... I didn't realize BeIN held the exclusive rights to the Giro, thought NBC was being suspenseful by not announcing their coverage till the very last minute. (Glad I didn't pay extra for NBC Sports Gold, was starting to consider it.) This makes me so sad.

This is just ridiculous, I'm sure we'll be able to get around it somehow, though. (If not I'll miss watching the Giro first thing in the morning and then having to leave for work something like only 5km before they get to the finish line. This was slightly exasperating, but it was better than no Giro at all.)

Thanks for the tip about the youtube watching, I'll have to give that a try.

Please Note Bolded above: I typed Cycling News, I meant Cycling TV!

Worst case scenario is I'll stay off all social media and watch the stage when it is put up on either youtube or tiz later in the afternoon.

Yes it is ridiculous!!!

I recently canceled my cable subscription and went with the Sony Vue service. I just noticed that I had a recorded "Cycling" show on the cloud based DVR. The show was stage 1 form the Tour of the Alps. I was surprised that an less than known race would be televised. The network it was recorded from was One World Sports network. I'm going to check if they will pick-up the Giro also. We have hope!

I'm not sure what happened to my original post but.....One World Sports is covering the Tour of the Alps. I'm watching via the Playstation Due service which I highly recommend. I'm hoping they cover the Giro

Looks like One World Sports bit the dust a few weeks ago. Some company called Eleven Sports bought some of their assets.

This Giro fiasco has forced me to venture into unknown territory - I've never live streamed before, and I just purchased my very first HDMI cable so I can stream some godforsaken illegal live feed onto my flat screen. (Am able to stream the Tour of the Alps so far... the feed is good, the Alps are lovely, who's the rider with the porn stache?) In about 35 minutes some youtube channel is supposed to start streaming La Fleche Wallonne, the suspense is just killing me!

Anyhoo, I don't mind slightly pixelated or even no sound, the most upsetting thing would be streams just cutting out or reloading constantly. That would be so frustrating it wouldn't even be worth watching, imo.

Sometimes I just get so frustrated by these crappy streams.

Geez I'd Pay for a workable solution, but there isn't anywhere to buy it in this country. My friend is still struggling with a vpn and Europlayer, so I'm not going there until he gets it worked out, it keeps dropping...... I can get that without paying for it!

Well, that youtube channel that was supposed to feed La Fleche Wallone got zapped by ASO, had to find another feed, this one is Dutch. Which is fine, I don't mind as long as it isn't taken off air entirely.

I gather this is normal when you're streaming questionable feeds?

Yep it happens all the time, especially with ASO races. They are very strict.

Well Carol, looks like we're in for some good times during the Giro. I'll look at it as a kind of a treasure hunt, we'll have to keep each other posted as to which feed is actually still working.

The Tiz stream is in English and has been working for me.

I've got one in Dutch and one in Italian, the Italian one seems to be a bit better.

Crap, I have to get ready for work now, don't think the boys will be able to finish this before I have to leave the house. Or, will they? (This is what I love about the GTs, the suspense on whether they can finish the stage before I have to leave for work.:D)

At least the Giro is RCS, maybe we'll have better luck :).

I've had the Giro live on TV and streaming via beIN for the last few years, but they dropped cycling this year :(.

Well, NBC Sports Gold may not carry that many races, but they are showing FW right now.

I'm trying this one as well (thanks for the link!), now I've got the race in three different languages.

Watch, they'll all cut out at the same time!

PS - Here's the Italian one, it's been behaving the best for me so far. https://www.firstonetv.eu/Live/Italy/Rai-Sport-1-27

Yay, I was able to watch the race till the finish! (Due to heavy pixelation I couldn't tell who won other than that it was a Movistar rider. But that's a'ight, I can just read up on that.)

This was a triple thrill for me - the thrill of the race itself, not knowing whether the feed will cut out, and not knowing whether they'll finish before I have to go to work. It all worked out okay today.

Thanks for your help, guys, if it's anything like this the Giro should be a blast! (Well, for me anyway. )

Re: 2017 USA TV Schedule

I want to share this with my fellow Giro lovers. This is what I received from fuboTV regarding the Giro -

I am happy to let you know that live coverage of Giro D'Italia through our channel fubo Cycling included in our new Cycling Plus Add-on of $8.99/mo! Once this added is properly added onto your fuboTV account, you can start watching this new exciting fuboTV Cycling channel. You can learn more about making changes to your subscription here. Broadcast of the content on fubo Cycling is available with commentary and you can certainly set this content to DVR and watch it later at your convenience.

Unfortunately, we do not support Smart TVs at this time. If you'd like to watch fuboTV on your TV, we recommend using Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, or the new Apple TV. We have apps on each of these devices and the experience should be seamless there.

Please let us know if you have any more questions. We are happy to help! -

Their regular package is $35.00 per month plus the Cycling add-on brings it to about $45.00. Apparently you can cancel anytime. I’ve no info on what other races they’ll cover. I get everything fubo offers with my Frontier package but I’ll probably go for it since it’s the 100th anniversary and it’s my favorite race. Apparently fubo also aired Tirreno Adriatico.

I’m really disappointed in beIN’s decision to nix coverage this year . How I miss Universal Sports.
