Yep really good today. Really surprised, he seemed to be done at the end of the season, but he said that he started to feel pretty good at the 3 Valli Varesine and that today he had super legs !

And what a temperament ! When Uran attacked, he followed him, then when the colombian turned his face to see the damage, he made the stone face but looked absolutely wasted at the moment Uran turned back to face the road. :D

Go David !

It seems as though emerging riders are getting younger and younger. I was surprised to read that De Plus is 22. Gaudu was 20 in the spring when he broke out. Crazy.

Not exactly the correct thread, but crazy to think he's been around for more than three years yet is only one year older than both Gaudu and Bernal.

David will race a Grand Tour next year, we don’t know which one. (Le Télégramme)

Vuelta would make a lot more sense. First peak Ardennes/Romandie/Ain or Ain/Dauphine, second peak Vuelta.

Hmm still no LBL. He rode Lombardia last year though.

However that is great, learning with Pinot in Catalunya and fight for top 10/stage victories in the other races.

likely a big break after the Dauphine and then the Vuelta as a first GT of his career.

It has been a very subdued start to the year for our swashbuckling young hero. One can only hope that he is suffering from a temporary malaise ... or aiming to peak late summer. I hope he shows something in Romandie, for which he would appear to be leader.
