No one mentioned Zakarin yet? Well, that's a mistake. The parcours is very good for him.

Seriously, if he carries this form until the ITT, he has very good chances of podium.

That would be great. He finished dead last in the Vuelta ITT only to bounce back and pick up a podium at the WC!

There is a limit to how much you can lose/win in a 3.5 km hill finish .. Ill say 90 seconds among the favs :D

Everyone is gonna change bike before the first turn in that hill, u cant go up with a TT bike.. Simple.

Well of course you can, but it's not ideal. TT bikes are usually quite a bit heavier than the bikes they use for climbing. That makes you slower in the first place. In the second place the TT bikes do not have the optimal gearings for climbing.

Presumably they change bikes on the hill.

I'll nominate Churandy Martina for pushing Dumoulin on his way. I'm sure he'll do his best.

Dowsett can't climb, so right choice. Harsh on dowsett but logical if the UK want the best chance of a medal.

Froome is one of the top 3 favourites along with Roglic and Dumoulin. Dowsett would be aiming for a top 10 at best?

One of the top at intermediate for sure.. Not at the top of the hill :D.

I still havent gotten it confirmed if Chris Froome is racing, would be his only chance to win WOrlds in Time Trial ever.. Anyone got any news?

Froome could win this if it was only 3km uphill or 20km uphill like in TDF 2016.

This is more like Montefalco but with a tougher hill at the end. Perfect for Tom, unless he is in some kind of off day.
Just an example:

http://cqranking.com/men/asp/gen/race.asp?raceid=27399

Now this was a 18km hilly time trial with the freaking Alto de Aia at the end, a steep murderous ramp with double digits going over 20% at some points. Still Dumoulin won, and at the first intermediate on the flat he was actually not even in the top 5. He won most of his time...on the hill.

It will between Dennis Dumo and Froome. That should cover the favourites for any TT course apart from a 500m prologue sprint I guess.
